NOVEMBER Favorites

2:57:00 AM

It's late again, but it's here anyway... My Monthly Favorites post for the month of November :

Anyway, before we started I just want to note that I have been doing this Monthly Favorites post for more than one year now (14 months exactly) and I'm not sure whether I should continue writing this series or not in the future.

At first, I decided to do this monthly favorites post every month to keep note of what products that I consider a favorite during the whole year (because I'm bad at remembering things). As a beauty blogger (and a hoarder) I tend to have many products as well as been trying so many stuffs all through the year, which I admit it's impossible for me to remember all the items that I have tried and whether or not I liked a specific product. So that's why I made this monthly favorite series to try keep a note of all the products that really works for me and my skin/complexion.

At the end of the year I also plan to compile a list of "Most Favorite Products of the Year" based on my monthly favorites post. I thought that would help me remember the best products that works for me and worth to repurchase again. I'm still gonna do that plan but I'm not so sure whether I want to do this Monthly Favorites post again next year.

Anyway, here's my most favorite products for last month (November) :
 From left to right:
MUA Hide & Conceal (Concealer)
Freshkon Mosaic Contact Lens in Charming Brown
Cottage Bergamot & Acacia Honey Moisturizing Nature Shower Gel
Cottage Vanilla Softening Shower Gel
Ivoire Balmain Eau de Parfum
Urban Decay Deluxe Shadow Box Palette
Bath & Body Works Frosted Snowberry Fragrance Mist
Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten
Etude House Shinee Mini Mee "Be My Princess" Perfume Mist in Ms. Bloom

I'm sorry if the photos are a bit blurred because I took these photos with my phone since I left my camera at the apartment. So I hope these photos came out pretty clear for you.

So, those are the products that I used most often during last month. I am really into "scents" and "fragrance" phase these past few months, so I find myself trying out more fragrance products such as perfume, body mist, scented-candles, etc. So that's why my favorite list this time are mostly fragrance products. From the delicious smell of shower gels, to body mist and perfume!

I have always love scented bath & body products, and I actually own lots of shower gels and soaps in my stash right now (because I seem to hoard them). So when I tried out these two sweetly-fragranced shower gels from Cottage I was immediately hooked. Nothing beats a sweet smelling shower gel / soaps, and I love to use different shower gels / soaps based on my mood or weather. For example, I love to use Cottage Vanilla Softening Shower Gel mostly at night because it has a sweet lovely scent with a hint of warmth, which makes it perfect to wind down after a nice shower at night. While the Cottage Bergamot & Acacia Honey Moisturizing Shower Gel is more fruity sweet and I find it super nice for a morning or day shower (yes, sometimes I hit the shower by noon ;p). - [Both shower gels reviewed HERE]

I am also blessed to be able to try a few different perfumes for the past months, and this Ivoire perfume from Balmain is one of my favorites. It is a classic feminine scent perfect for a lady. I originally thought that this Ivoire Balmain perfume [reviewed HERE] is a little bit heavy and powdery at first, but when trying it again at home I realized that I actually really like it too, because this perfume seems to go well with my body chemistry. It has a powdery fruity scent at first spray, which will turn into a more elegant floral scent, and dried down to a warm woody base notes which I love. There's not much perfume that really goes well with my body chemistry so this one is surely a keep! The classic bottle is also a bonus point because it would look pretty on any vanity.

Now speaking of makeup, there are three products that I seem to used over and over again during the month of November. The Revlon Kissable Balm Stain is already a favorite of mine because I put two shades of them in my October Favorites post. I decided to buy a new shade since then, and this Smitten shade is one of the most raved about in youtubeland, so I was happy when I finally got this because this shade seems to be out of stock every time I go to Revlon counter. Smitten is a gorgeous dark fuchsia color, almost like a plum color, but it goes really pretty on the lips and I think it's suitable for most skin tones too. I literally wear this Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten almost every time I go out during November ;p

I recently dug up my stash and found this beloved Urban Decay Shadow Box Palette which was out of sight for a while. I love Urban Decay eye shadow because their quality is superb and their colors are pigmented. This Urban Decay Shadow Box Palette is one of their palette that has a range of beautiful colors that can be used for many looks, from daily neutral look, to night party look. It has a selection of vivid bright colors as well as a couple of neutral colors and a black one that can be used as eyeliner shade. So this is pretty much a complete palette that you can bring when you're traveling. I also used this palette for many of my eye looks during November.

One other thing that I recently dug up from my stash is the MUA Hide & Conceal. MUA is a very popular British brand and I got this concealer (as well as many other things) from their big sale some time ago. At first I didn't really like this concealer because I was using it to conceal my blemishes and it didn't go so well with that. But last month I decided to bring it out again and tried using it as an under-eye concealer this time, and guess what? It totally worked! It helps lighten the dark circles beneath my eyes, and I also used it as a highlighter down the bridge of my nose, on my forehead, and on the upper apple of my cheeks, and it works wonder on all those places too! Now I finally found what it's good for and I'm glad I didn't gave it away. From a merely disappointing product it is now become my must-have everyday product :)

Back to the perfumed body products, I am currently using two new body mists last month because I have emptied my current body mist which is the Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Fragrance Mist (mentioned here). To replace it I picked this Bath & Body Works Frosted Snowberry Fragrance Mist which I almost couldn't wait to use it because I really really love the scent of it. According to the info  I gathered, this is a 2012 holiday limited edition scent, with a bright and cheerful blend of bergamot, blackberry, freesia, caramel and musk. Suuuper love this scent! I wish it was not a limited edition :(

Another body mist that I used in turn with the BBW Frosted Snowberry above is the Etude House Shinee Mini Mee "Be My Princess" Perfume Mist in Ms.Bloom [reviewed HERE]. This is a recent product that I got from Korea Buys and I super love the adorable bottle! I picked this one out (Ms. Bloom) based on the design of the bottle, but luckily the scent is also adorable. It smells like a soft floral bouquet that leaves a faint trail of vanilla and warm woodsy scent as the base notes. I felt super pretty every time I use this perfume mist ^_^ [Click HERE to buy this at KoreaBuys with a 5% Discount]

Last but not least, the Freshkon Mosaic Contact Lens in Charming Brown which I think have the most natural look amongst other brands. Well I haven't tried many types / brands of contact lenses but Freshkon Mosaic is definitely one of my favorite brand because the lenses are comfy and the brown color from the Charming Brown also looks very natural, most people didn't really noticed that I was wearing contact lens unless they see me face to face. This is probably my most favorite lens which I would definitely repurchase again in the future. This lens also looks great for photography purposes, and it also feels very comfortable on my eyes even when I wore it for more than 8 hours straight ;p

So that's it for my November Favorites. Do you also have monthly favorites post? Let me know in the comment below so I can read it too.

Meanwhile, have you tried any of the products above?
Oh and what do you think I should do, should I continue this Monthly Favorites post next year?
