Beauty Treats Box - My Current (Nov/Dec) Box

You know how I love beauty boxes, right? So here's another one for you...

Actually I'm not really sure which edition this box really is. The story goes like this: A month ago, I went to Beauty Treats Indonesia (BTI) website and realized that I have enough points for a free box. So I ordered my free box on November 1st. But after waiting for a month I did not get my box at all, so I emailed their customer service and they finally replied me on my second email which I sent on early December.

They apologize for not sending my November box because of some mistake, and they are willing to send me a new box within that week. I am happy with their positive respond and I appreciate their good intention in sending me a new box to replace my missing November box. So thank you Beauty Treats Indonesia for the good service.

So finally I got my box but I'm not sure whether this is a November box or a December box. I saw some posts from other bloggers that received their BTI November box but the products inside didn't really look the same as mine. My box is also a blue box instead of their usual black box. And I also didn't receive any product list as they usually include, so I'm guessing that this is a special box that they sent me as a good intention to replace my missing November box.

On a second thought, since BTI usually send their boxes near the end of the month, so maybe my box here could be a hint for their upcoming December box? Who knew... ^o^

Anyway, let's get to the point of this beauty boxes which is: what's inside it?

There are quite a few goodies there that makes me excited when I opened it. I actually receive 2 full size products, a really generous sample / travel size, and a few sachet samples + one little vial. As I told you before, their November edition box didn't look like this one, but whatever edition this box is - I'm just pretty happy with what I got.

The real size products that I received are the Lioele sheet mask, and the Bath & Body Works PocketBac Hand Sanitizer. Both of these are products that I am very happy with, because I love sheet mask and I also collect BBW pocketbacs, so these two are right up my alley :)

I also saw a favorite brand of mine, Crabtree & Evelyn. And there's another brand that I've been wanting to try too (Utama Spice). So you can see how excited I am with this box. Here's a full list of the products that I got inside the box. Since there is no product list / pamphlet info on the box so I just type in whatever information that I have on each product:

Lioele Perfect Soothing Essence Sheet Mask

I always use sheet masks and love trying on different sheet masks too, so I'm happy to receive this in my box. This soothing mask is suppose to promote skin metabolism & blood circulation thus help refresh and rejuvenate the skin. It contains witch hazel, camomile, punica and ginkgo extract for plentiful nutrition and moisture.

Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizer in Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin

I love BBW pocketbacs and have been collecting them whenever I can. I hauled five of them a few months ago and most of them are from the Christmas collection, so I am very happy to receive this scent as I don't own any fall scent on my collection yet, so this is the first one and I'm quite happy with the warm/foodie pumpkin scent.

Caring Colors BB Cream Trial Set (three sachets)

This is a bundle of three sachets of Caring Colors BB Cream in Fair White, Luminizing, and Everlast. I tried and used the Everlast once and I liked it very much. I also already got this same set on my May BTI box so I would prefer if they don't repeat items again.

Dr. Ampoule Pore Clean & Tightening (sachet)

I believe this is to be used after skincare and before makeup, so I'm guessing that this is some kind of a primer that doubles the function as a pore tightening agent to make a smooth looking skin ready for makeup.

Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer (sachet)

I also still have another sample of this on my sachet stash but I don't think I'm gonna use this because it's just too fussy for me to use (I prefer practical things). So I'm gonna put this along with my other Aura Volumer sachet to my giveaway prize (yes, I'm planning a giveaway once I reached 800 followers, so if you have Indonesian address please do follow my blog, I'm 5 followers short ;p).

Utama Spice Lavender Face & Body Butter

This is the brand that I have been curious about, so I'm happy to see this generous travel size product in my box. Utama Spice is a local Indonesian brand based in Bali. I always love natural products and would use it any time I can, and Utama Spice is a brand that produces 100% natural products, including this Lavender Face & Body Butter. The scent is not very strong but I tried putting this on my legs and it gives a healthy shine and gorgeous luster to it (which I love). Although this is a body butter but the consistency is not too thick and greasy. Usually body butters are too heavy for my skin but this one is not. I would def be wearing this before sleep because it's lavender-scented ;)

Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender Eau de Toilette (vial)

I love Crabtree & Evelyn but they always give out tiny samples. Their perfume vials are really small compared to the usual perfume vials, maybe about half the size. But still, I like this sample because I can at least smell what the scent like. I'm always curious with the many scent options at Crabtree & Evelyn. I now already have the Rose and Lavender perfume vials from Beauty Treats.

That's it for my BTI box this month. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the box. It's been a long time since BTI box wowed me, so this box is definitely a happy box for me. Well, my last box (which is a September box) was also very well-curated, so I'm pretty satisfied with my two last boxes. Here's hoping for a better and better BTI box in the future!

Beauty Treats Box - JUNE edition

It's time for another beauty box, and this month I only bought one box that I'm most curious about which is the new Platinum Box from the Beauty Treats Box.

Last month Beauty Treats were busily announcing their newest service which is the Platinum box which is a little bit different than their original boxes which called Gold Boxes. So the original ones are called Gold Box, and the new (supposedly more exclusive) ones are called Platinum Box.

The price is different between these two boxes. The Gold boxes are priced at IDR 95.000 which is the cheapest beauty box subscription in Indonesia right now, and it will be filled with lovely affordable Local and International brands. While the Platinum boxes are priced at IDR 135.000 and would be filled with local and International higher-end brands.

So I decided to try the Platinum Box this month to know the difference and if it's really worth it or not. It arrived in their usual brown card box packaging with another box tucked inside. The box inside is the real Beauty Treats box and this time the box is just a simple white box with a pink BT logo in the middle of it. I prefer last month's gold edition box with pink and black design ;p Let's take a look at it...

Here's what I saw when I first opened the outer brown box, there's this month's catalog which I immediately skipped because I don't want to ruin the surprise by reading what's inside the box. Anyway, I did felt a little bit underwhelmed when I feel how light the box was when I first received it from the courier man. It surely not as heavy as last month's box.

This is what the box looked like, and let's see what's on the inside now, shall we?

I can already see that this box doesn't have that much items in it, and when I open the tissue wrap I saw a couple of items which I generally think did not fulfilled my expectations, especially when the Beauty Treats team have been promoting their platinum box in a big way last month.

Maybe it was me who expect more or have high expectation but in general I did get a little bit disappointed with this first edition Platinum box. I mean, these items are generally no different than the usual regular boxes. I also found tiny sachet samples which I hate because tiny sachet samples like these are ~~supposedly~~ usually free from companies and should be counted as extras.

I don't mind sample sachets if it's in a medium size sachets and if it comes with many of them which makes it possible for us to try out and see the results after using it a couple of times. But what can you get from just one tiny sample?

And I don't mind sachets of body care products such as shower gels, body lotions, shampoos etc because you can use them for just one time to see if you like it or not, but when it comes to skincare you need a good amount of the product to really see if they works for you, right? If you get one tiny sachet of a skincare product you won't get any benefit out of it. That's just my personal opinion about sachets though ;p So anyway, let's just move on to what's inside this first edition platinum box now, shall we?

The full size items in this box are the Masami Shouko travel mirror powder case which costs IDR 98.900 and the Menard Blotting Paper which costs IDR 49.500 so those alone are already worth IDR 148.400, which is more than what I paid for this box.

There are only 6 small items in this box compared to last month's regular box that comes with 9 items total. And the tiny sachets are supposedly free from companies so in my mind they don't have any price and should be count as extras.

Although I really appreciate the Make Up For Ever HD Powder they gave us but I already have this one so I'm not really most excited about it. I am most excited with the Menard Blotting Paper because it smells heavenly and it looks pretty exclusive. I'm also not sure about the Masami Shouko travel powder case because I think it is still big for travelling and would take some space in the bag, but I think I could keep it anyway just incase I need it.

I can't really use the super tiny skincare sachets because i think it's quite useless to try them out in just a single use. I would appreciate it more if they send out 3-4 sachets of the same product instead of different single sachets. A few sample sachets of the same skincare product would be enough for several use so that we can really try out the product. But again, these are just my opinion.

An extremely fine powder in one universal shade to make the skin absolutely radiant. It sets the foundation and mattify the skin without changing its natural contours.

Menard Fairlucent Whiter Essence

Menard Fairlucent series uses stable vitamin C Derivative to restrain the production of melanin and prevent stains and freckles caused by UV rays.

Astalift Anti-Ageing Range

(Night Cream, Jelly Aquarista, Essence Destiny)

Contains Astaxanthin which has the ability to give more effective anti-oxidant. Great for anti-ageing and for a brighter and more photogenic skin.

DR. Jart+ Ctrl-A Series

(Liquid Foam, Speedy Clear Serum, Beauty Balm)

Ctrl-A series is an acne-treating skin treatment from Dr. Jart+ which can fight acne-causing bacteria and improve skin's immunity system to combat acne.

In addition of the discount voucher from Astalift below, I also found other discount vouchers inside the catalog. The vouchers are from Kay Collection, Dr. Jart+, and from Zalora (which we always get every month).

Overall, I can't say that I was disappointed with this box because I did like the Menard blotting paper and I also like the small Make Up For Ever HD Powder which would be great for back up and for travelling. But other than those two I think this first edition box is not as hyped as the promotion was. Again, I may be setting my expectations too high but I just thought that they could done a lot better than this. I mean, this is their first platinum box anyway so they supposed to "wow" everyone, right?

But I still love what I got from last month's beauty treats box so I am still liking their service and would still recommend their beauty boxes to you who loves receiving beauty products in a surprising way every month ;p

My First Beauty Treats Box! - May Edition

So I was supposed to post this last weekend because I received this box during last week, but I totally forgot to post it! Doh.

Anyway, if you remember last week I posted about beauty box subscription services which just recently released here in Indonesia. My first box was a beauty box subscription called Lolabox, and today I'm gonna talk about another beauty box subscription service called: Beauty Treats.

Unlike the Lolabox which I have received for the second time this month, this box is actually my first box from Beauty Treats. Although Lolabox and Beauty Treats released their first box at the same month (which is on April) but I didn't subscribed to both of them at that time. I only received my first Lolabox courtesy of Lolabox herself.

But after seeing what others get on their first Beauty Treats box last month I decided to try it out myself this month. So here is my first ever Beauty Treats box:

This is the box I received from the courier man. I would like to give a note that my box came a little late than everyone else but I thought maybe it was because my address. I got mine around 3 days late from the others. It's a simple brown cardboard box with the name "Beauty Treats" on top of it. My first initial reaction was surprised because the box is actually quite heavy unlike the Lolabox which I just received a few days earlier. I got instantly curious on what's inside the box as it is pretty heavy for an IDR 95.000 beauty box ;p

When I opened the cardboard box I found another box inside it which is the real Beauty Treats box. So just like Lolabox it has a separate outer box as the packaging. The first thing I see when I opened the outer box is the pink leaflet + note card with a honeycomb design.

The honeycomb design on the leaflet & note actually reminds me of a soccer ball pattern (~~a pink soccerball~~), LOL. I didn't opened the leaflet because I knew that inside the leaflet is a list of products included in the box. So I just read the note, and I admit, it's such a nice little detail finding my name handwritten on the thank you card:

Beneath the leaflet & notecard there's a pink box wrapped with black satiny bow. The pink box itself is a medium sized box with a "B" logo on top of it. I remember seeing the first Beauty Treats box from April on many beauty blogs, and the box was different with this one, so I guess they have different style of boxes every month (same as Lolabox).

I love the box as it is quite sturdy and it's pink :D The box is quite thick and deep and pretty sturdy, so it would be perfect to re-use it as storage boxes. Here's the photo of the box after I picked it out:

Now let's un-tie the bow and take a peek inside, shall we?

Now let's just cut this whole drama and take a look at what's inside the pink box!

The first thing I see when I opened the pink box is the brochures and discount vouchers. And underneath those brochures and vouchers are the products for this month's box! All wrapped with a sheer black paper fabric and tied with a little pink bow:

I can see that the box is full of goodies and I didn't waste my time and just go straight to opening the bow carefully because I didn't want to ruin the pretty packaging.

Okay, I said:

"let's stop with the drama, and get straight to it"

And so here it is...

I can't believe that I received these many products for only IDR 95.000 ! No wonder the box was quite heavy, that's because there are quite many bigger size products inside it. Well I mean bigger size samples. Most of these products are more than just a deluxe sample size product because these are very generous in size!

I noticed that I received 4 full size products in this box, wow! And for the relatively cheap price (compared to other beauty box services) this is such an awesome purchase. I'm also very satisfied with the products as most of them are brands that I have been curious about and wanted to try.

The full size products that I received are: Face on Face Nourishing Blush On, Lioele 3D Lifting Mask, Rudy Hadisuwarno Hair Intense Repair Serum set, and D'Eyeko Olga Lydia False Lashes.

The D'Eyeko False Lashes itself worth IDR 50.000 and the Lioele Face Mask worth IDR 37.500 so this box certainly worth more than what I've paid for (which is IDR 95.000).

Lioele, Hada Labo, and Skin Aqua are the brands that I've been wanting to try but never had the chance to, so I am super excited to be able to try them now :)

I think I went to the launching event of this product from Rudy Hadisuwarno several months ago but I didn't get the products to try at home (I don't know why but other bloggers received it at the event except for me), so I am pretty excited to finally be able to try these out because I always love trying new haircare product with hopes of finding something to finally tame my hair ;p

D'Eyeko Olga Lydia False Lashes in Flirtatious

D'Eyeko natural strip lashes enhance the natural beauty of your eyes. Available in various styles, with different length and volume. Easy for daily or special occasion.

Everyone receives different style of D'Eyeko eyelashes too on their boxes, mostly from the Syahrini line. But I am so very glad that I received these from the Olga Lydia line instead because I already own a couple of Syahrini eyelashes.

Face on Face Nourishing Blush On in Blooming Rose

A natural pink color, perfect for everyday look. Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid to moisturize the skin, Vitamin E and Mineral oil to nourish and maintain a healthy skin.

I never tried Face on Face before so I'm also excited to try this out. I'm also a fan of blush-on so I'm happy to receive a full size blush-on in this month's box. The color is so pretty but my only concern is mine looks like it's been swiped before:

You can see from the above photo that the surface is not smooth, almost look like someone had wiped / touched it with a finger, maybe someone was trying to make a color swatch? So yeah, sadly this doesn't look new at all, it looks like a used product :(

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural Trial Set

With it's melt away texture and fresh lip effect, Rouge Artist Natural dresses lips in delicious crystal clear shine. For natural coverage and an incredibly luminous, fresh smile.

When I put picture of this, people would assume that this is a palette, but this is just a 3 colors tiny samples set. So no, it's not a palette. If you read my Lolabox post, you'll see that Lolabox also has a trial set from MUFE but it was for their Aqua Cream line. So I'm glad that it's not the same as this one from Beauty Treats box.

Lioele 3D Lifting Mask

It's packed with powerful ingredients to prevent and reduce gravity's pull on our skin. This sheet mask contains 34 grams of serums soaked in a high quality absorbent paper mask.
I am so happy to receive this because I know some people received something else on their Beauty Treats box, I love sheet masks and have a bit of a collection of them so I'm happy to add this to that collection ;)

Acnes Pore Strip

Containing witch hazel extract and tea tree oil to help shrink pores and prevent blackheads. It has anti bacterial properties too.

I don't really use pore strip anymore so maybe I would give this to hubby K (he loves seeing those comedos off his nose ;p) or maybe to my teenager niece ^o^

Caring Colors BB Cream Test Kit

This is a sample kit which includes all three variants of Caring Colours BB Creams: Everlast (for long lasting), Fair White (for whitening), and Luminizing (for extra reflecting).

I have tried a couple of these BB Creams before so I'm gonna give this sample to someone else instead so that they can try it out.

Overall, as this is my first ever Beauty Treats box, I am very satisfied with it because it is the cheapest beauty box subscription service around and they came with great service and quality. I received a box full of goodies that's worth more than the price I've paid. I'm also very happy to see that most of the brands inside are brands that I've been wanting to try. I also like the discount vouchers included in the box because I can actually use it to purchase something I want/need.

My only concern is the longer time period to received the box, and the Face on Face blush which looks like it's been used.

Based on this first experience with Beauty Treats I decided to continue my subscription for next month with Beauty Treats :) They now have two different boxes that we can choose, depending on our preference. Now they have another option which is the Platinum Box which costs IDR 135.000.

According to their email, the difference between the Gold and Platinum Box is:

1) The BTI Gold Edition box, price IDR 95.000 (filled with lovely affordable Local and International brands).
2) The BTI Platinum Edition Box, price IDR 135.000 (Filled with Local and International Higher end brands).

After trying the Gold box I am now curious with the Platinum box so for next month subscription I'm gonna try the Platinum box to see the difference.
