Products I Finished - (AUGUST Empties)

12:51:00 AM

As I promised you guys yesterday, here is my "Products I Finished" post which is also late (as usual)...

I emptied quite a medium amount of products this time, but some of them are in travel sizes so it  takes no time to empty them. I love trying out new things so I always have a lot of products in travel sizes or in sample sizes around the house to try out.

Compared to the previous July Empties post, I actually finished more products during August. But then again, most of the products I finished on July were mostly full size items while during August I finished quite a few smaller sample size items.

Anyway, I'm quite happy with the amount of products that I finally finished, and I'm hoping to finish more products next month because now my stash seems to get fuller and fuller due to the beauty box craze that makes me end up with more products. But I'm not complaining, because I love trying them out ;)

Now here's the complete list of the products I finished during Auguts (last month):
Starting from back row, from left to right:
Rainforest Cinnamon Oat Natural Soap Bar
Dove Whitening Deodorant in Original
Relian Mascara (part of the Relian Fiber Mascara pink set)
Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Bar
L'Occitane Verbena Shampoo & Conditioner (travel size)
Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover (travel size)
Givenchy Lip Gloss in #04
Bath & Body Works Anti-Bac Hand Gel in Mistletoe Kiss
Taman Sari Royal Heritage Murut Body Scrub (sample size)
Sampar Vivid Radiance Serum (sample size)
Paula's Choice All Over Hair & Body Shampoo (sachet sample)
Paula's Choice Smooth Finish Conditioner (sachet sample)
NuFace Anti-Aging Facial Mask with Vitamin E
Kanebo Naive Natural Deep Cleansing Makeup Remover Towelettes

Quite a lot of products indeed... The full size items that I'm able to finish this time are the Rainforest cinnamon oat soap, Dove deodorant, Relian mascara, BBW pocket handbac, NuFace sheet mask, and the Kanebo makeup remover towelettes. The rest are sample sizes or travel size products.

I have to let go some of my favorite products this time, you would see which ones are my favorites by reading more details about each products below. As usual, I will include short product details with my take on it, and whether or not I would recommend or repurchase the product later.

 Bath & Body Products:
  • Dove Whitening Anti-Perspirant Deodorant in Original
After using a dry stick for so long I now turned to deodorant spray, and after using this one I think I might have prefer a deo spray than my trusted deo stick ;p I've tried other deodorant spray from another brand but I think this one is better. The scent is fresh and clean, the bottle shape is actually very practical, and the most important thing is this Dove deodorant spray helps keep the sweat at bay for a really long time.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes.

  • Rainforest Cinnamon Oats Natural Soap Bar
I received this natural soap from one of my sponsor, Bliss Beauty. I have always love natural products especially natural soaps like this one so this is definitely one of my fave. I love the scent and the rough texture in this soap that makes it perfect for a light scrubbing session in the shower. This lathers easily too so it's another plus point from this soap. This is said to reduce blemishes on skin while keeping the skin moist. I love this soap and in fact I added this to my Monthly Favorites list! This is a definite favorite of mine ;) >>> REVIEWED HERE <<<
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes.

  • Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa Murut Body Scrub
This is my favorite local brand, I love almost every products that I have tried from this brand. This Murut body scrub is from their Balinese series, it contains ginger oil, curcuma extract, coconut extract, and galanga. All are local ingredients, uniquely Indonesia. This body scrub is amazing. It really lifts off all those dirts and dead layers of skin, and makes the skin looks cleaner and brighter afterwards. The textute is really grainy so it's perfect to scrub off those ugly layers of skin.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes.

Hair Care Products:
  • L'Occitane Verbena Shampoo & Conditioner
This is a set of travel size shampoo and conditioner which I used to bring with me anytime I travel. I first used it when I stayed at the Aston Marina for a little weekend getaway, and I fell in love instantly with this shampoo & conditioner set. I usually don't really use conditioner because I don't find them useful for my hair and it always weigh my hair down and make it limp too. But not this one, this conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down and when used with the shampoo it creates a light bouncy hair with an invigorating scent that lasts for hours. This is a great set of shampoo & conditioner that I'm planning to buy again in the future.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes.

  • Paula's Choice All Over Hair & Body Shampoo
It's my first Paula's Choice product that I've tried and I'm not very impressed with it. As a shampoo it feels so-so and I don't think it gave any recognizable effect to my hair. As a body wash it also feels ordinary and nothing special with it.
- Recommended? No.
- Repurchase? No.

  • Paula's Choice Smooth Finish Conditioner
This conditioner is just okay, I guess. This also doesn't wow me, although it softens my hair and didn't really weigh my hair down so much but my hair gets greasy easily after using this conditioner along with the shampoo above.
- Recommended? Not really.
- Repurchase? No.

Skin Care Products:
  • Kanebo Naive Natural Deep Cleansing Makeup Remover Towelettes
Ever since I use my Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil and my Bioderma Micellar Water I don't get to use makeup remover towelettes that much anymore, but I still love to have one ready on my vanity. I usually use it to wipe the makeup residue that might be left off after I cleanse my face, or to clean my face from sweat and oil if I don't use makeup. I like this one because it has a rather sturdy packaging with a snap-on opening at the top so it's more hygienic and does not comes off easily, perfect for travelling.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes.

  • NuFace Anti-Aging Whitening Sheet Mask with Vitamin E
I love using sheet masks and I haven't used one for a long time, so I started using it again. I chose this one from my stash because I think I kinda need some anti-aging power right now, LOL. My stress level was high last month and it took a toll on my skin, so that's why I need some extra anti-aging properties to spruce up my skin. This is one of my fave supermarket-brand sheet mask and I love all of their variants including this one. >>> REVIEWED HERE <<<
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes, already have one in other variant.

  • Sebamed Clear Face Cleansing Bar
It's my first time trying on Sebamed products, and although I don't have very oily skin but I do have combination skin which sometimes is more oily than dry (depends on the weather). This face cleansing bar really takes the oil off my skin and keeps it oil-free for a few hours. But if you have dry skin then I don't recommend it because this really strips off the oil from your skin, so this would work for oily skin only.
- Recommended? Yes for oily skin.
- Repurchase? No, I don't think it's suitable for my combination skin.

  • Bath & Body Works AntiBac Hand Gel in Mistletoe Kiss
I love BBW products because they have a lot of scents to choose from, and this is from one of their Christmas collection, and it's one of my favorite best scent from the BBW. I always love christmas edition scents from BBW because they usually have sweet smelling options with festive designs on the bottle. This one smells wonderful and it's too bad it's just a limited edition scent. I wish they produce this scent as one of their regular scents.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes, definitely.

  • Sampar Vivid Radiance Serum
This serum is said to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, as well as firming and tone the oval shape of the face. I got a couple of these sample size serums from Sampar representatives a while ago and has been using it for the past months. I notice a more radiant complexion when I use this serum before makeup, and that's why I keep using it until I ran out of my samples. I still have one more sample to go ;) >>> REVIEWED HERE <<<
- Recommended? Yes, for brighter complexion and anti-aging treatment.
- Repurchase? Probably not for me because it's expensive.

Makeup Products:
  • Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips
This is hands down my most favorite when it comes to cleaning eye makeup, even a heavy eye makeup. This solution would wiped off any makeup (including waterproof mascara) in just seconds! It's insane! I love love love this makeup remover. I now got the full size bottle and I intent to keep this small bottle so that I can refill it and bring it with me when I travel or stayed at my in laws.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes, already bought the full size one.

  • Givenchy Lip Gloss in #04
I finally finished up this one. Eventhough it's just a small tube of lipgloss but it seems to have a lot of products in it because it actually took me a long time to finally empty this one. I love the shade which is a pretty mauve color that looks great when worn alone or layered with another color. It's actually quite a versatile color so I always reach out for this one, and I love how the gloss gives a pretty shine to my lips, making it look fuller and more attractive ;)
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Not really, I still have other lip glosses.

  • Relian Mascara
I got a Relian Fiber Mascara set that comes with this mascara and another tube filled with fibers that supposed to make our lashes looks longer and thicker. I finished the mascara first because I think this is just an ordinary mascara to me, but the fiber one is special. I ration my fiber one because I don't want to part with it, LOL... Anyway, because this mascara (that comes with the set) is nothing special so I prefer to use the fiber with my other mascara such as with my Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara. Compared to that, this mascara is just so-so.
- Recommended? Not really.
- Repurchase? Yes, for the set. Not for the mascara.

Okay, that's all I'm able to finished last month. Did you guess which ones are my most favorite products? The answer is: Rainforest Cinnamon Oats Natural soap, L'Occitane Verbena Shampoo & Conditioner, BBW AntiBac Hand Gel in Mistletoe Kiss, and Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover ;)

So what products did you finished currently? If you have similar posts, please link it below because I love reading Empties posts too ;)
