AUGUST Favorites

3:49:00 AM

It's another time for Monthly Favorites (which is late as usual), and here are my most used / favorite products during the month of August (last month)...

These are my most favorite products last month and I've been using them literally almost everyday. I love finding new stuffs that really works for my skin, such as the natural soap and scrubs from a local brand that I got via my blog sponsor. I always love using natural products which is more eco-friendly and also better for our skin because it contains much less chemical ingredients.

Aside from the new products that I fell in love with, there's also an old time favorite of mine which I started to fell in love again after not touching it for a while, which is the Sleek original eyeshadow palette. This used to be my favorite palette when I first bought it a long time ago, and recently I started to use this palette again and remember why I loved it in the first place.

Here's the complete list :
Starting from back row, from left to right:
Carolina Herrera CH Perfume Sublime
St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub
Burt's Bees Lipbalm with Vitamin E & Peppermint
Sleek Divine Original Eyeshadow Palette
Rainforest Coffee & Cacao Natural Body Scrub
Rainforest Cinnamon Oat Natural Soap
Bath & Body Works Sparkling Pink Champagne Pocket-Bac Hand Sanitizer

My bodycare routine during last month include some natural bath products from a local brand called Rainforest which originated from Malang, East Java. I got these soap and scrub (and another soap which I haven't opened yet) from my new sponsor Bliss Beauty. The soaps and scrub were sent to me and handpicked by the store owner to match my skin condition.

First of all, I really love the Rainforest Cinnamon Oat Soap (review). It has a very nice texture which you can use to lightly scrub your skin while in the shower. The cinnamon oat soap is good to reduce blemishes on skin. This soap makes my skin feels smooth and moist, and it lathers easily too which makes this soap different than other natural soaps which usually don't lather much. It's so soft on the skin and the scent is so fresh. It also lasts quite long so you'll get a lot of use with it.

The Rainforest Coffee & Cacao Body Scrub (review) is also an amazing natural scrub. I love scrubs made from natural ingredients and this one is absolutely on top of my list. The scrub is made of organic coffee, organic cacao, sugar, green tea, cinnamon, saponified coconut oil, ginger, and nutmeg. The scrub is actually all those ingredients mixed into one and crushed into minuscule pieces. This might be too harsh for the face but I love using it all over my body especially on my feet. It really lifts off those hard-to-remove dead skin layers that makes my feet looks dull. After using it my feet would be noticeably brighter in an instant, and looks cleaner and healthier too. Very Recommended!

Speaking of natural products, I also fell in love with this Burt's Bees Lipbalm with Vitamin E & Peppermint which is also based on natural ingredients. I got this from the Burts Bees set from my US hauls, and this is my first time trying on Burt's Bees product. I've been curious with Burts Bees for so long but they're not available here in Indonesia, but now I know why their lipbalms are one of the most praised ones! This lipbalm moisten the lips instantly and the effect lasts long too, my hubby even prefer this one than EOS, he said Burts Bees is more effective. This one has a strong peppermint scent so I wouldn't recommend if you don't like strong minty feeling on your lips. I don't have any problem with mint flavors so this is one of my go-to lip balm especially when my lips is acting out.

Aside from Burts Bees I also been wanting to try out the widely popular St.Ives Apricot Scrub. This product has been the talk of the town on the beauty blogosphere for so long, a classic must-have if we might say. This also does not available here so when I finally try this out I am immediately converted! This is probably THE most amazing face scrub I ever tried. The texture is excellent without being too harsh nor it is too light. The scent is great and not overpowering, the formula is smooth and non-irritating. And the end result is a fresher brighter complexion! LOVE.

Another good smelling item on my August's favorite product list is the Bath & Body Works Sparkling Pink Champagne AntiBac Hand Gel. I love Bath & Body Works and I picked out my pocket bac scents very seriously, LOL. This one smells very sweet and fresh, kinda reminds me a bit of Barbie ;p Usually I'm not really fond with super sweet scents but this one is definitely an exception. So if you love girly and feminine scent then you'll love this one. I also love the pretty name on the bottle and of course the pink color too. Plus, this one have a scent that seems to last longer than the other ones.

Another favorite scent for August is obviously this dazzling Carolina Herrera perfume with a gorgeous purple bottle. It's called Carolina Herrera CH Eau de Parfum Sublime (review). Such a long name, I know...but just look at the packaging! The purple bottle with a shape that resembles a purse, with the leather and bow details, and the gold CH insignia - such a dazzling design that represent the true scent inside: a modern twist of a classic beauty. This perfume has a top note of exotic bergamot and passionflower, middle notes of Bulgarian rose and orchid, and a base note of patchouli, moss, leather, and amber. To me it simply smells: feminine, elegant, and sensual. Great for both day and night.

Last but not least, my old favorite eyeshadow palette which is the Sleek Divine Original Palette. This is one of the first eyeshadow palette that I purchased back then and it is now actually broken inside because it has been tossed here and there, and then accidentally dropped onto the floor too. But I still use it despite the broken palette because the color options are amazing and the pay-off is very pigmented. This palette has a bright, neutral, and darker color options all in one palette so it actually has everything you need to create different eye makeup: from smokey eyes, to natural/daily look, to fun festive eye look. Definitely a must-have, especially if you're new to makeup and want to experience with eye makeup without having to burn much cash ;)

Okay, that's it for my August Fave products. I still have another monthly post series to be published (the monthly "Products I Finished" series), so if you love reading empties post stay tune for that post which I would publish by tomorrow.
Don't forget to subscribe to my blog, I'm planning a few giveaways in a very near future... ;)
