Weekly Face Mask : NuFace Whitening Anti-Aging Facial Mask

1:11:00 AM

I use facial mask as part of my skincare routine, I usually use a mask once or two times a week, depending on the condition of my face. Right now I'm in the middle of improving my skin condition because I found them a little bit dull with lots of dark spots here and there (they're probably sun spots and acne/blemishes spots). My usual skin condition is combination oily, but these past few weeks I noticed that my face has patches of dry and irritated condition near the nose area with large pores on the tip of the nose and on the lower forehead.

So after the whitening Cucumber mask last week, this week I decided to use the NuFace Whitening Mask with Anti-Aging formula. Anti-aging is something you need to start earlier than you think you should, I've read so many times that beauty experts said that twenty something is actually a perfect age to start introducing anti-aging treatment to your skin in small doses. At this stage you use it as protection and prevention, before the aging cycle really starts, so it will help prolong your youthfulness and minimize the signs of early aging.

I never used a sunscreen when I was in my early twenties (I do use moisturizers daily and sometimes it has little amounts of SPF in it), and I regret it. My skin now has two tiny but noticeable sun spots and a few sheer ones, and I blame that from not using sunscreen sooner. So now I have included sunscreen in my skincare routine because even if you spent your day inside a building or inside your car the sun would still be able to penetrate that, so yes ladies.. sunscreen is important!

So anyway I'm starting to add anti-aging treatment now into my skincare routine to prevent early aging, and so I chose this NuFace mask that has anti-aging properties, whitening properties, and also enriched with Vitamin E for this week's face mask routine.

NuFace Whitening Anti-Aging Facial Mask
Bought at:
Supermarket (Carrefour)
Price :
I forgot but it was quite cheap, between IDR 5000 - 8000 per sheet (= less than a Dollar)

What it said on the sheet:
Anti Aging.
Soothing facial mask that works to increase moisture level and refresh your skin face.
Contains "Vitamin E" as anti-oxidant that protects skin face from free radicals or dirt, and also "Whitening" which help to brighten your skin. Enriched with Caviar extract to fix skin self-defense mechanism, and reduces wrinkles or fine lines on skin.

My Take:
(Current skin : combination oily with dark spots, large pores, dry patches)
The word "Caviar extract" is what made me buy this mask at the first place hahaha (LOL). It said to have anti-oxidant properties to help protects skin from free-radicals. It also said to have whitening and wrinkle reducing effect.
The mask is a sheet mask type, which is a "mask shape" that you can simply put on your face. This is the most practical type of facial masks, and one of my favorite type too because of it's simplicity and practicality.
So inside the packaging you will find a ready-to-use mask. The mask is already soaked in essence and this NuFace mask has lots of essence in the mask.
the angry-faced model ;p
It felt fresh, cooling, and tingly on the skin when I put it on. It has a subtle scent but the smell was rather nice and not disturbing. The mask feels wet on my face and the edges are too wide for my face frame so it goes on over my hair line which makes it a little bit uncomfortable because I had to carefully hold it so it won't wet my bangs.

In the packaging it said to leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes and when it's done we simply took it off and then gently massage the remaining fluid on to the skin until it's fully absorbed. But I found that there are lots of left-over essence / fluid on my skin after I'm done with the mask, and it was too many amount of essence on my face that it would took maybe another 20 minutes just to make them fully absorbed, so I just massage it for a few minutes and splash the rest of the essence with water because it doesn't feel comfortable on my face with that many fluid sitting on the surface of my skin.

The after result:
My face is instantly feels hydrated, my skin feels firmer, smoother, and more supple. My skin also feels great and looked great. Although it's not noticeably brighter but my skin does looks more radiant than before. The skin tone is also more even.

Overall, I'm happy with the result. You can see from the photo above, although there's no significant or really noticeable difference but on below photo my skin tone is more even, and it looks more supple and smoother to the touch too. I would buy it again because of the practicality, the cheap price, and for the fresh feeling that I got as the after result.
