[2017] December EMPTIES

7:12:00 PM

Time for some Empties again.
These are my last empties from December which as usual I'm posting it late (😓). There wasn't as much products as my last Empties post but I'm still happy because most of the products this time were full sized products (!) so I'm really happy to be able to finish them and make some rooms for newer ones 😉

So without further ado, here they come ...

Let's start with ...

[ BODYCARE ]

The Body Shop Olive Body Butter
Actually TBS body butter is too rich for my oily skin so despite its rave reviews I never really took advantage of it because it's just too rich and sticky for my skin in this tropical weather where I live. I had this Olive body butter from one of my blog projects with them, I picked it up because it's one of TBS best seller products of all time (specifically the Olive one). But due to its rich buttery lotion I only use this at night before I go to sleep because I sleep with my air conditioner on, so it won't feel as sticky as when I put them during the day. I love the formula and the very subtle scent. It sure does keep your skin super moist and relieved from dryness.
> Recommended for dry skin
> Replacement : Still using up Senzues Night Active Body Lotion

Etude House Mini Me Ms.Bloom Perfumed Mist
I held on to this one for so long just because I really love its ultra cute packaging (just look at that bottle). This is a perfumed mist that you can use for your body and hair, and it is from Etude House's "Be My Princess" collection which was their old collection. Aside from its cute princess packaging I also love its sweet super girly scent, very light and cheerful for daily wear. You can read the full review on my previous post here : Etude House Shinee Ms.Bloom Perfumed Mist.
> Not available anymore
> Replacement : Still using up Soap & Glory "Girligo" Body Moisturizing Mist

[ SKINCARE ]

Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask
I am so glad I finally finished this off! I hate wasting product so I never throw away product even though I don't use them very much, I just waited til they're finished. So whenever I finished an old product that took so long to empty I always feel relieved, (Lol). I had this mask for so long, the reason is because my combination skin is more towards oily than dry, and this is a mask for dry skin, so I rarely use this mask because my skin is rarely dry. But I love the scent of this mask and the cooling sensation it has on the skin.

> Replacement : Avene Soothing Moisture Mask

Garnier White Complete Night Restore
This was my travel night cream. I bring this along with my other travel skincare in my travel bag which I bring with me every weekend. We spent every weekend at our parents house so I always use my travel skincare. I needed a non-fussy night creme to complete my simple skincare routine so I used up this one. Actually this was not really empty, it still had just a few uses left in the jar, but I don't know why my skin does not respond well to this cream anymore so I had to let this one go.
> Will not repurchase because it doesn't work with my skin anymore
> Replacement : Moving my C20 Vitamin Sleep 9 to 5 Crema to my travel bag as my travel night cream

The Skin Cleansing Oil
This cleansing oil is infused with lime extract and sunflower seed oil. It gets rid of sebum and skin impurities as well as a light layer of makeup. It does leave your face oily when you use it, just like any other cleansing oil, so I always follow up with another face wash after using cleansing oil. This only gets rid of lighter makeup though, such as bb creams or just powder and blush. But if you use heavier foundation I don't think this cleansing oil can work, you will need other form of makeup remover to fully lift off your foundie.
> Won't repurchase because I wanna try other cleansing oil
> Replacement : Haven't bought a new one yet but currently still using my other one, The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil

C20 Original Pure Vitamin C Serum
This was my saviour whenever I needed to brighten up my skin. I swore by this serum (though I used it in combination with its Vitamin C night cream). I mainly only use this at night as my evening serum. I already wrote a review about this serum so you can read about it there, but in short this is one of my hero product for brightening dull skin. You can read the full review here : C20 Original Pure Vitamin C Serum.
> Recommended | Will repurchase in the future
> Replacement : Still trying to use up my Antipodes Joyous Serum which I despise because of the smell :(

[ MAKEUP ]

Caring Colours Everlast Dual Action Cake
Finally emptied this one (!) LOL. I had this for sooo loooong, and I don't wanna throw it away because I can still use this up. I had a few powder / compact powder opened and I use them alternatively, so I had a hard time finishing them up because I just had too many used at the same time I can't finished one of them quicker. This was actually one of my fave because it gave me a layer of matte finish and makes my skin looks smoother. The shade 03 Soft Natural was also a match to my skin. You can read the full review on my old post here : Caring Colours Everlast Dual Action Cake.

> Replacement : Still using up my Dior Diorsnow White Reveal UV Shield Makeup

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
This one was also a very old product. I held on to this and kept storing it in my vanity drawer because I remember how the pale nude pink color macthes my skintone back then. It's hard to find a pale pink shade that matches my skintone so that's why I kept holding on to it. But alas, when I tried this on again after not touching it for the longest time I found that the formula has gone bad. It's not the same as it was when I use it many moons ago, so I had to say goodbye to this lip butter that was once a rage in the beauty world. You can see swatches and read the full review on my old post here : Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter.
> Won't repurchase as I still has many lipsticks in my drawer
> Replacement : The Balm Girls Ima Good Kisser Lipstick which has similar pale pink shade

[ HAIRCARE ]

Watsons Naturals Olive Shampoo
I bought this shampoo with a blind eye. I was in need of a new shampoo and impulsively chose this one from the rack at Watsons. The organic olive oil sticker in the packaging made me bought it. It claims to contain more natural ingredients and is ultra nourishing. It also contains sunflower oil and vitamin E to gently cleanse, moisturise, and revitalise your hair. Well in my hair it didn't work very well. Sure my hair gets soft and smooth with this shampoo but it turns greasy quickly. I usually only need to wash my hair every 3 days but with this shampoo my hair is already greasy at the second day. It seems to also lose its bounciness. So I think this shampoo is best suited for dry hair.
> Won't repurchase because doesn't suit my oily hair
> Replacement : Mane n' Tail Herbal Gro Shampoo

Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo
This was my shampoo in my parent in law's house where we always stayed on the weekend. I've tried many shampoos and this one is on the "okay" list. This makes my hair soft and bouncy, but that's about it. Though the most important is : it didn't make my hair limp :)
> Recommended | Will repurchase
> Replacement : Tresemmé Scalp Care Shampoo

[ Miscellaneous ]

Bath & Body Works Honolulu Sun Hand Soap
As usual I finished both of my hand soaps at around the same time. One of them was my kitchen sink handsoap and this one was my bathroom sink handsoap. This always happens, I always finished them both around the same time I don't know why, LOL. Anyway, this one is a signature collection with a mix of fresh island coconut, Pacific palm, and Ocean air aroma. You can read full review of these handsoaps on my previous post here : Replacements | Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps.
> Recommended
> Replacement : Astonish Silk Soft Anti Bacterial Hand Soap

Bath & Body Works Lush Bamboo Waterfall Hand Soap
As I told you above, this one was my kitchen sink handsoap. I only use two handsoaps in my current apartment because I only have two sinks there which were the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink. This Lush Bamboo Waterfall is what I used in my bathroom and for guests whenever they come over. You can read full review of these handsoaps on my previous post here : Replacements | Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps.

> Replacement : Dr Soap Forestville No.23 Hand Wash

Bath & Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Anti-Bac Hand Gel
This is the old packaging of BBW pocket bac, I still had a couple of the old packaging left in my stock drawer so I haven't bought the newer packaging yet. Anyway, I always carry one of this in my bag and this particular one smells sweet like glazed pumpkin and sugared cinnamon, yumm :)
> Recommended
> Replacement : BBW Fresh Sparkling Snow Pocket Bac

Bath & Body Works Mahogany Teakwood Candle
Boy, do I love Bath & Body Works (BBW) products, LOL. I just realized that I emptied four BBW products this time. Anyway I haven't written a review about this particular candle yet but I will (wait for my next post!) so I won't say anything here because I will write what I think about this candle on my next post. Meanwhile, all I can say is this was one of my favorite candle scent from BBW. It's one of their classic best-seller scent and I think you should try it :)
> Recommended | Will Repurchase
> Replacement : Bath & Body Works Flannel Candle

Well, these are not really as much products as my previous months, but as I told you previously I'm glad I finished quite a few of full sized products this time. Well actually I just realized that I didn't used up any travel size or sample sized product this last month. I guess I was just focusing on finishing those old products thats been sitting too long in my vanity :)

Anyway, this month I managed to finished 14 products in total. And all of them are full size / real size products, yay!

So hopefully I can finished a couple of my oldstanding products again this January, and meanwhile you can also see my previous September-October empties post here. I skipped November because I think I only finished 1-2 products that were not really significant products.

So.. see ya on my next Empties post !
