Review: Tony Moly Tangerine Whitening Hand Cream

8:50:00 PM

Several days ago I got my Korea Buys package with a couple of Korean products inside that I've been wanting to try.

This time I got the Tony Moly Pure Aura CC Cream (finally, my first CC Cream!), Tony Moly Backstage Eyeliner (their Best-seller), Tony Moly Tangerine Hand Cream, and the Skin Food Wash-Off Black Sugar Mask.

Those are the products that I've been curious and wanted to try out. I'm gonna review these items one by one, starting from the one with the cutest packaging which is the: Tony Moly Tangerine Hand Cream.

If you're a regular reader here you must have heard about how I am a sucker for anything with cute / unique packaging so sometimes I buy stuffs just because their unique packaging ;p

This Tony Moly Hand Cream is one of those products that I wanted to buy because of their super cute packaging:

Tony Moly seems to always have cute packaging for most of their products, I once bought (and reviewed) the Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub in a cute red lips container.

So when I saw this hand cream in Korea Buys "Ready Stock Local" section on the website, I immediately put it on my list. How cute would that be on top of my desk, right? Most people would not know that it's actually a hand cream ;p

Tony Moly Tangerine Hand Cream contains extracts of fruits rich with vitamin C such as orange, tangerine, lemon and pomelo. It softens rough skin on hands and it allows better nail regeneration. Other than that, the product also contains arbutin, a whitening ingredient which leaves the skin fair and soft. The plentiful Vitamin C in this hand cream gives a moisturizing, whitening, and nourishing effect.

As you can see above, the packaging looks super cute and resembles a citrus fruit. I think it's a cute concept, the product contains high doses of Vitamin C extracts hence the packaging resembles a fruit that is known for high amount of vitamin C ;p

It is actually made of a sturdy plastic material. It's very light and small so it's easy to carry around everywhere and it would make a great conversation start too ;)

There is a stopper inside so it would stop the product from spilling all over. The scent is more towards a lemon scent. I usually not a fan of lemon scent at all because an artificial lemon scent could make me sick in the stomach, but when smelling this hand cream I didn't get sick at all. It is a fresh lemon-y scent that's not too heady and not overly artificial. So maybe that's what makes me able to handle the scent. Because it smells fresh! My hubby loves the fresh scent too.

As for the texture, it is more like a creamy lotion. It got absorbed pretty quickly into the skin and it would leave no residue at all when it's fully absorbed.

I also love that the formula really sinks in deep into the skin, unlike another hand cream that I got which formula just sits on top of my skin without it's really sinking into the skin. I know this because when I wash my hands even after hours of applying the hand cream my hands would feel greasy, like there's another layer of lotion still sitting on top of my skin.

But this Tony Moly Tangerine Hand Cream did not do that. This hand cream sinks in fully and when I wash my hands afterwards I didn't feel any greasy feeling on my skin, and that means the products have been absorbed fully into the skin, giving benefits for my hands.

When applied:
When being rubbed in:
When absorbed fully:

Overall, I love this hand cream, and this is probably one of the very few lemon scented products that I actually love the scent. I love the texture which sinks in rather quickly on my skin without leaving residue, and I also love how my hands feels and smells after using it. The scent would lasts for a couple of hours on my hands if I don't wash it. As for the whitening effect I can't really say much because I think that is one thing that we only could tell with time. Maybe after finishing this hand cream I could give my opinion on that.

You can get this Tony Moly Tangerine Hand Cream in Korea Buys website for IDR 58,800. It's a Ready Stock Local so that means if you live in Indonesia, you don't have to buy for Korean shipping fee. You only need to pay Indonesian local shipping fee for all of the ready stock products at Korea Buys.

Oh, there's also another one of Tony Moly product with a super cute tomato-shaped container which is the Tomatox magic white massage pack. I'm gonna put this on my next list ;p
