Products I Finished - (OCTOBER Empties)

12:44:00 AM

It is officially a year after I started this Empties project approximately on October last year. Wow, how time flies really fast, it's already near the end of the year again, where did all those times go?

So a year ago I decided to join the Empties bandwagon that other bloggers and youtubers did because frankly I was overwhelmed with the amount of products on my stash that literally are everywhere.. I have a bad habit of using products only until it reached half of it because I simply want to save it for later (this habit is for products that I love). I felt that I don't want to empty it right away because I love the product so I still want to keep it in my stash for a longer time (clingy issue, LOL).

But that habit create a big amount of products in my stash because instead of finishing one I kept on saving the unfinished bottles and jars while still keep on buying or receiving new ones. So that's when I decided to do the Empties post to motivate me to actually finish some products, especially those which have been laying around for so long. The empties post motivate me to finally finish those old bottles and jars of products to reduce the amount of my stash.

It's been a very helpful project for me because my stash is slowly reducing and now I have spare room for yet another new products to try out ;p I love trying on new products but I also want to make sure that all my products get used in rotation. So no more "saving the best for last", it's a healthier habit now ^o^

So anyway, here is my 12th Empties post a.k.a Empties for last month (October):
from left to right:
Vitamin Science Vita Advance Whitening Multi BB Cream (sachet)
Vitamin Science Vita Advanced Whitening Multi Facial Gel (sachet)
Rudy Hadisuwarno Hair Intense Repair Serum
Sebamed Clear Gel (sample)
Rexona Teens Tropical Energy Deodorant Spray
Nike Woman Original Deodorant Spray
Sibu Beauty Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser
Herbal Essences Break's Over Anti-Breakage Shampoo
Schwarzkopf Extra Care Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

Usually it's always a mix between full size and sample or travel size products, but this time I emptied mostly full-sized products, yay for that! I finished two deodorant sprays last month because one of them was a purchase gone wrong (i'll tell you about it later). I also finished two bottles of shampoos that I've been trying out before I finally found my current HG shampoo which is the L'Oreal Fall Repair Anti-Hairfall Shampoo. And I also gaveaway one product from my stash and I gave it to my mom instead who is more than happy to receive it. So no products actually go to waste ^__^

Nike Woman Original Deodorant Spray is one of my favorite body sprays / deodorant that I like so far. I've tried various brands and types of deodorants (because I love to try things out) and this is one of the best. This smells good, the nozzle is easy to use and sprayed a fair amount of deodorant with a fairly wide spray, so I usually just need one click of the nozzle spray and it's enough for a whole day anti-perspirant action ;p
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes probably in the future.

Meanwhile, this Rexona Teens Tropical Energy Deo Spray is a product that I bought by mistake. I originally wanted to buy this one after sniffing the others at the supermarket, but apparently I picked up the wrong bottle. Meaning: I picked up the tester bottle instead of a new one. Duh. Surely this bottle ran out only after a week of usage because there's just a small amount of it left inside (since it's a tester bottle). The bottle did not have a tester label like they usually do, so I just assumed that it's a new one. Apparently I was having a bad luck that day ;p Overall, the scent is sweet but personally it was a little bit off. And I don't really like it anyway.
- Recommended? Not really.
- Repurchase? Nope.

I forgot that I've saved this Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser from Sibu Beauty (review), and it's been a couple of years since I first got this product. I intentionally saved it after using it several times because I remember it gave good results on my skin, keeping my combination skin well-balanced. Now I recently "found" it again, and the product inside still looks good and nothing weird about it so I decided to continue re-using it. Until after several weeks of usage I realized that this product may have lose it's benefits due to it's age, because I  don't think it delivers like the way it used to do. And that's when I thought I couldn't use it anymore because it might just be too old, so I have to throw this away even though it still has around 1/4 amount left.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? I don't think it works for my current skin condition anymore.

Now on to the shampoo, as usual I always try out different shampoos almost every month in search of a perfect shampoo that would works well with my hair. And that's why you'll most likely see a new shampoo on the Empties post almost every month, LOL. Now, this Schwarzkopf Extra Care Anti-Dandruff Shampoo is a shampoo that I bought because I wanted to try the Schwarzkopf brand. Turns out that this is not the shampoo for me at all. My hair seems to hate it, it's thick and kinda weigh my hair a little bit making it greasy easily. But the smell is great and it has liquid keratin in it to help repair damages on the hair. I only bought the small bottle so I finished it in no time.
- Recommended? Not really.
- Repurchase? Nope.

Another shampoo that I finished last month is this Herbal Essences Break's Over Strengthening Shampoo. This smells lovely as usual coming from Herbal Essences shampoos, but I found this one pretty much mediocre for my hair. I don't see any improvements in the strengthening aspect too. But this one doesn't really weigh the hair down and I actually like the smell so much. Too bad it doesn't work for my hair.
- Recommended? Yes it could work for other hair types.
- Repurchase? Def not for me.

Now on to the samples, I used just a few samples this time. I tried these pair of Vitamin Science samples that I got from my Lolabox a while ago. It's my first trying the Vitamin Science product and here is what I thought about them: The Vitamin Science Vita Advanced Whitening Multi BB Cream is alright. It has anti-aging properties too and enhances whitening although I don't see much changes in the whitening section. But the formula is light and absorbs pretty quickly and spreads evenly on the face too. It also lasts throughout the day. While the Vitamin Science Vita Advanced Whitening Multi Facial Gel is a moisturizer to also enhance whitening and relieve irritation on skin. The sample is too tiny for me to really get a good review on it but for my first impression this is just another regular moisturizer that can be used for all skin types. I can't really talk about other benefits because the amount of product inside the sachet is very little compared to sachet samples from other brands :(
- Recommended? Probably, only for the Multi BB Cream.
- Repurchase? Maybe not for me.

The Sebamed Clear Gel is also a sample that I got from Lolabox. Sebamed is intended for those with oily to super oily skin. Mine is combination skin so this moisturizing gel is sometimes a bit too much for me. I only use this when my skin is quite oily. So far this is pretty much alright, and if you have oily skin I recommend you to try Sebamed. The gel texture is easily absorbed on the skin and felt comfy too. It also helps in reducing oil especially on my t-zone area.
- Recommended? Yes for oily to super oily skin.
- Repurchase? Not really for my skin type.

Last but not least is the Rudy Hadisuwarno Hair Intense Repair Serum that I also got from a beauty box. It's actually from the first box of Beauty Treats box. I've talked about this before in one of my Monthly Favorites post because I simply love this serum. This serum has argan oil infused in it and it makes my hair silky smooth, easy to style, and smells great too.
 - Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Already have another one in the stash ;)

I also found another old product in my stash which I thought I wouldn't use anymore because: (A). it's a body lotion and I already have a looot of body lotions to finished. (B). My mom been eyeing it out because she actually liked the scent so that's why I gave it to her instead.
This is a Lavender Calm Body Lotion from Made From Earth (review) which is a body lotion made from organic ingredients such as organic lavender that might helps to relieve tension and enhance blood circulation. You can read my review on the link above to know more about this product and other Made From Earth organic products.

Now what are your recent finished products? Do you have Empties post too?
I would like to see it if you do ;)
