SALLY HANSEN Complete Salon Manicure (Red Zin, Plums The Word, Back To The Fuchsia)

1:33:00 AM

Not too long ago I met with Anne-Laure Trochoux from Sally Hansen representative and she showed me the new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure range. What's so special about this new Sally Hansen range is that these nail polishes have 7 benefits of a salon manicure in 1 nail polish bottle. Talk about practical product!

Although the brand has been here in Indonesia since several years ago but Sally Hansen has just widened their market and keep showing up with their fabulous nail care and nail polishes collection. They already have several range of nail polishes and they also have a wide selection of colors to choose from. Now, they have come up with a break-through product, the first-ever nail polish with 7 features that you can get from professional manicures: Base Coat, Strengthener, Growth Treatment, Color, Top Coat, Chip-resistance, and Gel-like finish.

So those are the 7 features that are available in the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. According to their press-release, these professional nail polishes are formulated with three proprietary time-released protecting shine enhancers so they can deliver a lasting shine on our nails. With a break-through nano-tubes technology the shine enhancers are released as our nails flex during daily wear and tear, helping to provide maximum chip-resistance. Other than the shine enhancer and the chip-resistance features, this range also has a gel-like finishing.

Here's a swatch from the samples that Anne brought that day. I wore different colors on my nails to get a closer look of the beautiful shades available:

From all the shades I've tried above,
my most favorites are these two:

Luckily, when I opened the Sally Hansen box that Anne later gave me, I found these two shades in the box, yay! The dark green / teal shade is called Jungle Gem, while the shimmery bronze shade on the right is called Pennies For Heaven (other blogs also mention this shade looks like a rose gold shade).

The other three shades that I got in the box are: Red Zin, Back To The Fuchsia, and Plums The Word. They all are beautiful colors, covering all seasons colors - from summer, spring, fall, and winter ;)

Those shades are beautiful, right? I also noticed that the bottle is quite bigger (but feels very light though) compared to other brands. This is actually a 0.5 fl oz / 14.7 ml bottle that comes with a black rubber band around the neck of the bottle to keep it properly sealed tight.

There are actually a wide range of shades available but I only have five shades in my hands to show you guys. And here are the shades that I got:

 from left to right:
Red Zin, Back To The Fuchsia, Pennies For Heaven, Plums The Word, Jungle Gem

These Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure range also features a unique precision brush for a flawless finish, and also a patented Vita Care technology for advanced 10 day wear with more shine and nourishing care.

The brush itself is actually larger than the common nail polish brush. This precision brush was developed exclusively by Sally Hansen. Other than the larger size, it also has a rounded edge to fit the curve of our cuticles and designed to perfectly hug our nails. According to the press-release info: with a 800-count, shorter brush length, and precision product pick-up, this brush promotes better application for a better wear.

(the shape of the Precision Brush, it almost cover the whole surface of my nails)

The wider brush actually helps me a lot in applying the nail polish. I'm the usual sloppy type where I sometimes have to repeatedly apply my nail polish because I can't seem to get it right on the first layer. But with this wider brush I only need 2 swipes on each nail and it covers all the surface perfectly.

The colors also very vibrant and true to the bottle, so what you see in the bottle is what you'd get on your nails. Most of the shades need only 1 layer to bring out the color, while the nude / pale shades need 2 - 3 layers.

Here's the swatches for Back To The Fuchsia, Red Zin, and Plums The Word. I will upload the swatches for Jungle Gem and Pennies For Heaven in an upcoming post:

 (Plums The Word)
Plums The Word is a plum / mauve shade that looks like a neutral shade that you can wear every day for any occasion. I think this would suits a lot of skin tone as it's a universal color. The gel-like finishing is pretty much noticeable in this one and it reflect shines beautifully too.

 (Back To The Fuchsia)
Back To The Fuchsia is a bright hot pink / fuchsia color as you can see from the photo above. The color looks exactly the same as in the bottle. I only need one layer of this nail polish to show how vibrant the fuchsia color is. I imagine this is great for special events or if you're feeling romantic ;)

(Red Zin)
Red Zin is a gorgeous red shade which go towards a deeper red coated with lots of shine, I love it. The reflective shine looks absolutely amazing in this one. It's also not as red as you think it is, just a little bit more subdued than a true red. I love the finish look on this one the most.

Overall, I really like using this Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure range. The drying time is medium fast, and once it dries it will hold up until 10 days mostly. Mine lasted pretty long too, and it didn't chipped easily. I also love the shine that it gives on my nails (especially on the shade Red Zin), and also the gorgeous finishing.

It is priced at IDR 98,000 for a medium-big bottle, and you can get them at Guardian, Watsons, selected Matahari dept stores, Glow Plaza Indonesia, selected Metro & Sogo, and Centro Bali Discovery Mall.

I decided to split the swatches because I just don't want to make the post too long than it already is, so I'm dividing it into 2 posts instead. So don't forget to stay tune for my next swatch of Pennies For Heaven and Jungle Gem which are two of my most favorite shades ( although I actually love all of the 5 colors here ^__^  ).
