[2017] FEBRUARY - MARCH EMPTIES

6:18:00 PM

Hey ho, Long time no see, but here's an Empties post for you ! These were all the empty products I've finished during February til end of March. I know I'm so late in posting this but I want to post it anyway because I still have my Empties post for April up next on the draft.

Anyhoo, I felt like I should have been able to finished more products during the 2 months span, but I've been lazy with my skincare routine lately so I didn't used much products. Maybe that's why I didn't end up with more empties as I want it to be.

Here's what I managed to bin for the last two months. As usual, I tried to separate them by categories so it'd be easier to read. Hopefully these Empties posts could be useful if you're looking for the same product and wants to know how the product really goes in real life. Now let's start with the Bath / Body Section :

B O D Y C A R E

Palmolive Ayurituel Joyous Shower Gel
This is the shower gel that I used at my bathroom in my parents house. With Indian Mulberry and Lotus Flower this shower gel comes in a beautiful bottle packaging and I love the sweet warm sensual scent of it. It reminds me of something lavish yet warm and inviting. Very seductive if I must say ;)
> Recommended & Will Repurchase
> Replacement : Victoria Secret Love Spell Body Wash

Dove Go Fresh Revive Body Wash
This is the shower gel that I used at my parents in law's house where we used to stay almost every weekend. This is from the Dove Revive collection in the scent of pomegranate & lemon verbena. I always love lemon verbena scent, and I love pomegranate scent too, so this shower gel has a lovely scent if according to my nose :) This has nutrium moisture that suppose to nourish your body while washing it off. I found this body wash so moisturizing and didn't leave any dry feeling on the skin.

> Replacement : Moloka Goat Milk Natural Soap in Peppermint Cocoa

Philosophy Jingle Tini Shampoo / Shower Gel / Bubble Bath
This is the shower gel that we used in our apartment. Yes, we do have three different shower gels in three different bathrooms : our apartment, my parents house, my parent in laws house. This is not just an ordinary shower gel though, this is a shampoo + shower gel + bubble bath - all in one cute little red bottle (well at least it was red when it's full). I always love Philosophy packaging especially their cute shower gel bottles like this. The Jingle Tini was from one of their christmas edition and I loved the red color so I picked it up during the black Friday sale. This actually smells like cherry, but it reminds me of a cough syrup I had when I was a child. It has cherry flavour in it and it smells exactly the same as my childhood cough syrup. So that's a No for me.
> Won't Repurchased this scent because to me it feels like showering with a cough syrup (;p).
> Replacement : still trying to finish Juara Tiare Jasmine Tea Bath / Shower Gel

Burt's Bees Milk & Honey Body Lotion
This was my travel body lotion because of its convenient size. I loved this body lotion because it smells rather nice, it has a creamy lotion texture that absorbs to the skin, and it moisturizes my skin in no time, although I have to re-moisturize it a few hours later because this doesn't keep it moisturized that long (;p). But overall, I liked it.

> Replacement : currently using Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter as my travel lotion

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
This was my travel face wash and by far my favorite travel face wash I've ever tried. I usually only use samples or travel size face washes for my traveling and stay-overs, and this one was among my top favorite. I love how it cleanses my skin without drying it, and how it feels moist afterwards. I also love the no-fuss formula, no sticky gels, no watery texture that slips off the minute you open the cap, everything is just right. Smells like an organic product and it is 98.8% naturals. I'd love to purchase the full size.
> Recommended & Will Repurchase
> Replacement : currently using Clean+Clear Purifying Apple Facial Cleanser as my travel face wash

The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash
I have done a detailed review of this and so far I like the formula but I hate the packaging that spills everywhere, and the cap won't closed properly after just several uses. I also hate how it seems to feel so long to empty this tube even though this is just a 100ml tube. But overall, the formula is okay especially for oily skin.
> Would love to try something else so probably won't repurchase
> Replacement : currently using The Skin Pure Lime Cleansing Foam

Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser

This is the face wash that's been on the vanity in our bedroom at my parents in law's house. The idea is for me to use this face wash every time we stayed over during the weekend. But what happened is I always brought my travel face wash with me in my travel skincare bag so I always forget to use this Neutrogena one. So it just stands there for so long standing in the vanity I almost forget about it. Then my nephew/niece mistaken it for a hand wash because of the "pump" bottle, so they've been using it as hand wash when I'm not there. And that's how it became emptied and I actually would thank them for emptying it faster because this is an old product and I wouldn't want to use it on my face again because it's that old. But when I did used it a long time ago I remember I really liked it and I even had a guest compliment it because I let her use it and she liked it so much.
> Recommended but will not repurchase
> Replacement : Hadalabo AHA+BHA Makeup Remover / Face Wash

Doctor Cos Amino Acid Hybrid Sheet Free Mask Advanced

You know how I always preached on how I hate to throw away products? Well I have to make an exception for this one. I honestly love this mask but it comes in a huuugee jar and it's so hard for me to finish it quicker than it's expiry date. So this still has many product inside the jar, but I have to throw it away because it's been long way passed its expiration date. But I love the product though! Read my review..
> Recommended
> Replacement : still trying to finish up the Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask before opening new mask

The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

Out of all The Body Shop Seaweed range products that I've tried, my favorite is probably this day cream. It has a cooling gel consistency that feels nice when applied on the skin. But once it turned bad it would sting the hell of your skin. At least that's what happened to me. You can read my full review on the link below.

> Replacement : currently using Lavine Cosmetics Clarity Moisturizer

No:Hj Aqua Soothing Sheet Mask

This is a Korean mask and it is probably the thinnest sheet mask I've ever tried! It is so thin it almost breaks easily if you're not careful when handling it. It is a hydrating sheet mask and it comes in cute packaging, see my review on the link below.

My Beauty Diary Aloe Vera Sheet Mask
I always love My Beauty Diary sheet masks including this one. Although there are other MBD masks that I love better, but this one has its own benefit such as hydrating and moisturizing the skin.

M A K E U P
Kate BLACK Lash Maximizer
This is my first Kate by Kanebo makeup, it is a Japanese brand and actually is quite known there. It does a decent job at elongating my lashes but the texture is too thick and sticky and it would be a mess to clean it off my lashes. It blobs everywhere and it's just too bulky and gunk-y if that's even a word (;p).
> Will Not Repurchase
> Replacement : Maybelline Volum Express Turbo Boost Mascara

CK Mega Volume Mascara
I've tried a couple of CK Calvin Klein makeup before (because they used to have them as bonus gifts at strawberry.net), but I don't really fancy most of them except for their strawberry lip gloss that I tried once. This mascara is no good either. It doesn't really thickens or elongates or even doing anything to my lashes. A total fail to me.
> Not Recommended
> Replacement : currently using Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

EOS Lip Balm Sphere in Strawberry
Been writing about this Eos lip balm for a couple times already in this blog so I will not go too deep again. The point is I love Eos lip spheres and I even collected them in many colors.
> Recommended & Still have a few of them left in my stock :)
> Replacement : currently opening up another one of Eos lip spheres, but this time in Honeysuckle Honeydew (the green one)

Makeup Forever HD High Definition Primer
This is one of my favorite face primer because it gives a smooth, flawless, and brighter looking skin, and it acts as a very good base for makeup too. It makes applying makeup easier and helps make it stays in place. It's sheer and has no color but gives a great illusion of a smoother flawless skin.
> Recommended & Would Repurchase
> Replacement : Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Caring Colours Moisturize Rich Lip Color in Brown Sugar
This is a very old item that needs to be thrown out because it's waaayyy passed its expiry date for sure. Because it's been years and years since I had this one, LOL. But this was actually a nice lipstick though. It has a moisturizing balm at the center of the lipstick so it will moisturize your lips and won't make it dry. The color payoff is weak though, and I don't know if they still make this lipstick anymore. Oh well...
> Replacement : currently using Elizabeth Helen Lipstick No.15 as a similar moisturizing lipstick

Stila Gel Cheek Color in Pink Flush
As in my regular Empties post I seem to always find 1 or 2 loose items here and there that needs to be thrown away because they are so old and I found them hiding somewhere either in my bags / my storage boxes / my bedroom / or my wardrobe room area. This Stila Gel Cheek Colour is one of them (along with the Caring Colours Lipstick above). This Stila Gel Cheek Colour is so old I even forgot when exactly I purchased it. Sadly this still has some products left inside but I remember I didn't like using gel blushes like this because the color and formula just won't show in my cheek, so that's when I neglected this gel blush. Well, off to the bin it is...
> Won't repurchase any gel cheek colors in the future unless the review is very very good (;p)

Herbal Essences Touchable Smooth Hair Conditioner

This was one of my fave hair conditioner. I love Herbal Essences because their products usually smells awesome, just like this one. This also makes my hair smooth and manageable. I actually prefer the other variant (in purple tube) a little bit better but I do still like this one too.
> Recommended & Would Repurchase although I like the Purple one slightly better
> Replacement : Furatasse Scalp Cleanser

Makarizo T1 Style Maker
This was my old hair spray. I never used hair spray anymore so this has been left stranded for so many years in my hair products drawer. It finally seen the light of day, but straight off you go to the bin.
> Probably Won't Repurchase any Hair Spray because I just don't use them
> Replacement : No hair spray for now

And that's it !
The total products I managed to finished during the February - March are 13 full size products + 2 sheet masks and 4 sample size products. A total of 19 products. It's not bad but I guess I could've finished more products in that range of time. Because I still have some older opened products that I'd like to finish soon so that I can open the new ones ;)

What did you finished lately?
If you like this kind of post don't forget to stay tuned for my April empties post!
