Review: Shu Uemura Whiteefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil

9:30:00 AM

Hey you guys... How was your weekend?
By the way, have you joined my Shu Uemura giveaway that I posted last week? Well, you only have one more week to join if you haven't already ;p

Now as I promised you, here is my update on the Shu Uemura Whiteefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil review. As for now, I have been using it for about 3 weeks and so far I really really like it ;)

I've been using this cleansing oil to clean my makeup, either for a light makeup or heavier makeup. I also found this very effective to clean my most stubborn waterproof makeup such as my waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This does the job very well without any disappointment :)

Shu Uemura Whiteefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil

.... is a light-textured cleansing oil packed with Vitamin C and fruit acid mix to help reduce the production of melanin and to brighten the skin's appearance as well. So it's aimed to brighten the skin as well as thoroughly cleansing it from any dirt, sweat and makeup residue.

First of all, I like the packaging ;p
I like the shape of the bottle which looks so sleek and would look pretty standing on the bathroom vanity. I also like the pump dispenser which I think is more efficient so you don't have to pour a lot of products on your hands so you only use the amount you need instead of wasting some of it away.

I also always like a liquid product that comes with a pump dispenser because it's certainly more hygienic.

At the back of the carton packaging there's a short explanation as well as a sketch to show you how to use it. So if you never use a cleansing oil before then you don't have to worry because you could just see the instruction from the box:

Here's how to use the cleansing oil:

It was stated on the box that we should take 3 or 4 pumps of the cleansing oil onto the palms of our hands, but I personally just use about 2 to 3 pumps because I have a small face so 2 to 3 pumps is enough for my whole face.

It only took me a few minutes to do all the steps above and then my face would be free from oil and dirt afterwards, leaving it clean and clear with an overall radiant effect, making my face looks fresh.

The pump cap also have a lock-in system in which you should turn it around to unlock it, and then after you finish using it you just have to turn it back to lock it again to prevent spilling. So this lock-in feature makes this bottle safe for traveling purpose which is another bonus of this cleansing oil.

The solution of the cleansing oil is clear without any color, and when you pumped it onto your palms you can feel that it's like a thick gel with just a hint of oily feel to it. It's not too sticky so don't worry, I wouldn't have liked it if it were sticky too ;p

Once pumped out I applied it all over my face and gently rub it in a circular motion. By then I can feel that all my makeup is melting away, especially my most stubborn mascara. I can't believe how powerful is this cleansing oil, it really works effectively in just minutes!

Some people have the need to clean their face again with a facial cleanser afterward, but to me this Whiteefficient Cleansing Oil is enough. I mostly don't clean my face again afterward because this cleansing oil already removes the dirt and sweat from my skin too so I don't think it need another cleaning (aside from toner).

But if my face is really dirty and sweaty that day or if I used too many makeup that day then I probably would clean my face again with a separate facial wash afterward.

Shu Uemura has a few variants of cleansing oil and this Whiteefficient one is meant to help reduce the production of melanin and brighten the skin's appearance. Well after using it for about 3 weeks I can say that this cleansing oil does give an overall radiant look to the face every time I just finished using it, making my complexion looks fresh (which I love!).

I would also like to note that if you have oily skin and been afraid of using a cleansing oil because we all know that we don't suppose to put "oil" to an already oily face, then don't fret because I do have a combination oily skin and this cleansing oil don't feel "oily" at all.

Once you put it on your skin it would melt away all the makeup and in just a couple of minutes later you'll wash it all of with water and it would leave no oily residue at all. So I do recommend this to most skin types especially to oily or combination oily skin.

Overall, I do love this Whiteefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil and I think it is one of the best cleansing oil out there in terms of cleaning up your makeup and face, as well as giving you a fresh radiant look afterward.

The price is IDR 490,000 for the 150ml bottle and IDR 1,070,000 for the big bottle (450ml).

It is on the expensive side but now you know about the quality after reading this post, right? It's fast-working, very effective, really cleans everything in just a few minutes. You also only need a small amount of it every time you use it, so the smaller bottle could surely lasts you for several months.

The bottom line is:
I really love this cleansing oil and I really recommends it. If you have the budget, go for it without a doubt!
