What's Inside My Travel Skincare & Makeup Bags - 2012 NYE edition

12:58:00 AM

Hello good people...
It is now the year 2013, I can't believe it...
Sorry for not writing new post sooner but I was having a little short break which I think I kinda deserve, LOL... So anyway, I actually had a special yearly post planned in mind, kinda similar like what I did last year, but I haven't written it yet so I thought I'm gonna give you this light post instead.

So where did you spent your new year holiday? I had the chance to spent a night with my family at Hotel Bumikarsa, located in Bidakara complex. We only stayed there for one night (from New Year's eve until January 1st), so I didn't bring many skincare and beauty products with me.

I know I just did a similar post a few months ago when I traveled to Bandung for Lebaran / Ied Al Fitr day and had an overnight stay there, but I tend to always bring different bath and body care products as well as different makeup items during every travel, so if you have read my previous "What's inside my travel bag" post back in August, then you will see a few different items that I decided to bring this time ;)

This time I bought three different pouches: The gold Marc Jacobs pouch to hold my daily makeup items, a transparent bag that comes with the Shaw Treatment bath&body travel set, and the fuchsia Victoria's Secret bag to store my skincare products and makeup brushes:

Now let's go to the details, shall we? Here are all the essentials inside each of the pouches:

1. First of all, the Bath & Body care products.
On my last "What's inside my Toiletries Travel bag" I brought my pink Etude House Dress Room travel set that includes a Sweet Look Body Wash and Body Lotion. I like to change products so this time I'm bringing my Shaw Treatment travel set that comes with it's own transparent pouch:

I was sent this Jet Set Swahili Coast travel set from Shaw Treatment many months ago and yet I still haven't finished them. That shows how scarce the amount of my traveling during 2012 (boo..) which explains why these travel set didn't get used much. I have reviewed this set on my other blog: TIGERLILY'S BOOK. You can click here if you want to read the full review.

The Shaw Treatment travel set consists of:
  • Swahili Coast Moisturizing Shampoo
  • Swahili Coast Conditioner
  • Swahili Coast Face & Body Cleanser
  • Swahili Coast Body Lotion

2. Now second of all, let's see what's inside my Makeup pouch.
On my previous trip to Bandung I brought the same gold Marc Jacobs pouch and the same Victoria's Secret pouch. I always bring this gold pouch everyday, it is my daily makeup pouch. What's inside it are probably pretty much the same because those are my current essentials, I usually just change the lip colors and/or blushes while the rest of the basic items are pretty much the same.
You can see my essentials there along with a few other basic makeup that I can use for natural daily look. I prefer to wear basic colors or natural look / makeup during traveling because it's a quick-no-hassle makeup that requires only a few basic items. Think "Light Traveling" ^o^

Here are the details of the items...
On the first photo below you can see all my current essentials items that you can also found in my previous "What's inside my Daily Makeup bag" post that I did back on September (except for the eyeshadow, I didn't include it in my previous post but I almost always bring this neutral eyeshadow in my daily makeup bag):
Revlon Colorstay 16 Hour Eye Shadow in #545 Attitude
Revlon Naturally Glamorous Blush On in Red Apple (I did a mini review here)
Givenchy Compact Dual-sided Mirror
Revlon PhotoReady Two Way Powder Foundation in Natural Beige (I did a mini review here)

Philosophy pink Retractable Brush
Revlon Color Burst Lip Butter in #050 Berry Smoothie
Clinique Super Balm Moisturizing Gloss in #01 Apricot
Maybelline Magnum Volum Express Mascara

Eve Organics Natural Lip Liner in Bronze Babe (reviewed here on my other blog)
Artistry Brow Definer in Deep Brown
Maybelline Master Liner in Black

In addition to these makeup items above, I also bring along my lipbalm (can't go out without bringing lipbalms!) and my hand cream that I put inside my bag for easy grabbing:
Maybelline Baby Lips Lipbalm in Smoothing Cherry
Too Cool For School Angel Hand Shea Butter Hand Cream

3. And third of all, what's inside the Skincare pouch.
I love this hot pink pouch from Victoria's Secret and always uses it when traveling because it can hold many products (even the bigger size products) inside it. The items on this pouch are mostly skincare, and I added a few makeup brushes too.

I like to collect skincare products in mini / travel sizes because I spent most of my weekends by staying overnight at my in-laws house, and it's so easy to just grab the small size products with me and put in my weekender bag.

I also like to buy products in small / travel sizes because I think it's the perfect way to try some new products first before deciding to splurge on the full size ;)

Here's the details of what's inside:
Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover
MakeUp ForEver Sens'Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser
Sisley Phyto-Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion (Toner)
L'occitane Angelica Radiance Cleansing Gel

Clinique Super City Block SPF 40 Sunscreen
Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream
Garnier Light Brightening Eye Roll-On
The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

Pure-Derm MakeUp Remover Cleansing Tissues with Collagen (I reviewed the non-collagen version here)
The Body Shop Neroli Jasmine Body Mist
A small drawstring pouch with cotton pads and cotton swabs

Senna Cosmetics Crown Brush #706
Masami Shouko Crease brush
Masami Shouko Angled Shading Brush #202

I also brought along bath salts because I know the hotel's bathroom has a bath tub, so I thought I might enjoy a relaxing bath. The only bath salts that I have in my product stack right now is the one that I got from Honeycat Cosmetics:
Honeycat Cosmetics Chick of the Sea Foaming Bath Crystals

How cute is the packaging, right? This really looks like a sardine can or a cat's food can, LOL. I love Honeycat packagings. I have yet to make a complete review of the Honeycat Cosmetic products that I got several months ago, but I promise I will do it.

And that's the end of this post ;)
