Maybe not many of you know but I had my birthday back in August. To those of you who congratulated me on my social media platforms I thank you very much for the sweet attention, it really means so much to me (^_^)

Anyway, I don't mean to brag but I just want to list some of the things that I got from my birthday haul and also some birthday gifts from friends and families. I need to list it out because that way I can have a note to myself as well as something to reflect upon when I read this post in the future (hello future me!) ^o^

So please don't take this as I'm bragging because this is just for fun ..

First of all, the birthday gift from hubby. I was lucky enough to have a birthday on August because usually there are some sales going on during July-August such as the Jakarta Great Sale. There was also an awesome deal from Planet Sports that happened only for one day which is on August 17 (Indonesia's Independence Day). They are having a BOGO sale (Buy 1 Get 1) and of course we wouldn't want to missed the rare deal, so we bought a matching Converse Classic All-Star in white and only have to pay for one ! SCORED! ^_^

But the main gift from my husband was a more special item. I hunt it down in the counter (which I felt I was judged by the sales person when he annoyingly had a good look on me head to toe - especially looking at my bag - which seems to me he was trying to justify whether I could really afford things on the boutique or not). Luckily I was dressing up that day because it was my birthday, but Please deh, it's so annoying when a sales person does that judging thing (or even worse, acting like you're just wasting their time). Bah! Not everyone go shopping with an all-out glamorous outfit and high maintenance look, you know. 

Anyway, it was the Michael Kors boutique in Plaza Senayan, and I end up buying my bag from Reebonz instead because of the really nice discount they were offering at that time. I love Reebonz and I will write a detailed review about my whole experience shopping from Reebonz because it was my first time shopping there, so make sure you subscribe to this blog so you won't missed the review post ;)

It's the Michael Kors Jet Set Leather Tote Bag in Luggage (^_^)

As usual, every year I also bought something as a birthday gift for myself. So it's a gift FROM me TO me ^o^ This year I decided to buy some things from the Galeries Lafayette big sale which include a 30-50% discount on Marc Jacobs counter!

I love Galeries Lafayette because they have some of my favorite brands there (which most of them are on my forever wish list ;p). On the Marc Jacobs counter I found some items that were priced for 50% Off - so obviously I must take some benefit from the sale because it's not so often that MJ having a 50% sale here. 

So I bought myself a MBMJ "Pretty Nylon" Computer Case in Knockout Pink and a blue MBMJ "Pretty Nylon" Ipad Case in Bauhaus Blue - both are from the Workwear collection.

I'm also blessed with thoughtful family and friends that have kindly gifted me some nice presents that really made me smile. Some of the presents that I got from my family member are some clothes (a pretty floral dress and a printed pants), and also a beautiful necklace. I also got a cow mug along with the necklace ( I collected cow-themed stuffs ;p) :

I also got some really nice presents from my bestie (thank you Gita!) which suits my style perfectly. I love maxi dresses, and I also love stripes, chiffon, and the color red. And the presents resembles it all :D

Although it's not much but I really felt blessed and thankful for all the attention. I actually didn't really expect to receive gifts at all (except from my husband of course ;p) because I realized that I'm not a little kid anymore that usually receive so much presents on their birthday. And at this age we don't really do gift-giving anymore because we think it's "child-like", but I personally think we should! Because it makes the birthday person feels happy and it's always feel good to share, right?
