[SKINCARE] : TONYMOLY Gold Black Sugar Mask

I haven't done a Korean brand review for little while so here's one for you :)
Today I'm gonna review a skin treatment product from one of the popular Korean brand called Tony Moly.

TonyMoly is a well-known Korean skincare brand that already has loyal following throughout Asia. For the last couple of weeks I've been using one of their skincare product which is a face mask called the Gold Black Sugar Mask.

I love a good simple face mask that I can use in the shower while I'm showering. So I like practical easy-to-use face mask that felt good on the skin during the application as well as after using the mask.

This TonyMoly Gold Black Sugar Mask is a face mask that claims to provide nutrition as well as moisture for our skin. It contains honey extract, black sugar, and gold dust to gently exfoliate dead skin cells. It also claim to help uneven skin tone and to soften as well as hydrate the skin. They said a regular usage would bring out a fair, smooth, luminous skin.

The packaging is a simple rounded small jar that would not take a lot of place in the shower. If you open the lid you would find another cover made of plastic to make sure that it doesn't spill easily and also to help avoid water from getting in the jar.

This Gold Black Sugar Mask is not just a face mask, but you can also scrub your face with it. Instead, the instruction said to scrub your face with the mask first, and then you leave it on just like a regular mask. But for sensitive skin, it is advised not to scrub it but instead just use it as a regular mask (slather it on and leave it for 10 minutes).

The formula itself is a thick dense brown consistency with gritty texture that feels light on the skin. It smells good like brown sugar and the texture sure feels like a real brown sugar paste. What I usually do is wet my face with splashes of water, and then pick up an adequate amount of the mask and slather it on my face and then I scrub my face in circular motion. After a quick scrub I leave it on my face as a mask.

If I have time I would leave the mask on my face until after I'm finished with my shower, but when I'm in a hurry I just leave it on for about one minute before I wash it out with water. It gives an instant result of a brighter and more supple-looking skin.

Overall, I like this face mask because it can act as a scrub as well as a mask, so it's like a 2-in-1 product which would be cool to bring when traveling. The practicality of the mask as well as the quick instant result are what I love about this mask. It's great for my combination skin especially when it's on the oilier side.

I like the sweet smelling black sugar scent and I also like the gritty texture that is actually non-abrasive on the skin. I found it brightens my face as well as gently exfoliating my skin for a more healthier looking skin.

You can get this product at BeautyKorea where you can find other Korean goodies such as makeup, skincare, fashion items, etc...
Beauty Korea is an online store that you can find on Qoo10 which is one of my favorite places to shop. Don't forget to make sure you also check out Beauty Korea store because right now they have Monthly Giveaway where you could win Etude House Dear Girls Be Clear Pact just by following them on Facebook or Twitter :)
