Welcoming First Blush Box !

Updated: Read the bottom paragraph for updated news on this box.

Yihaaa... I am so excited for another new beauty subscription box service that has just recently come in town which is called: First Blush

I love beauty box subscriptions so I am pretty excited to see new subscription services coming along as additional options. Not that I don't love the other boxes that are already available, but I just love the ability to have options ;)

Sooo... let's meet our newest beauty box in town: First Blush Box.

First of all, how cute is the packaging, right? It's in a pyramid shape instead of the usual rectangular box. Very bold and different! I gave them a plus point for coming into the market with style ;)

So First Blush describe itself as a one-stop service where women can learn, read, watch, listen, discuss, review and sample beauty products that are available in the market. Their beauty box subscription allows us to try deluxe samples of beauty products in the comfort of our own home and time, every month.

Their price is ranged at the middle which is IDR 168.000 and will arrive at your door step at every end of the month. It is not the most expensive beauty box subscription out there but it's also not the cheapest one.

Now let's see what they got to offer, shall we?

As I mentioned above, the packaging is so cute and unique and I love it. It might not be the most practical box but it's still cute and unique. You can reuse it as a gift box to wrap your gifts, or you can use it as a room decor ;)

I was already very excited and squealed a little when I saw the red pyramid shaped box, and then I squealed a bit more when I opened the packaging and saw what's inside of it. I can see a couple of my favorite items in there so of course I was very delighted ^__^

If you follow me on my twitter, path, or instagram then you might already seen what's inside the box. I even made a video on my instagram account about this beauty box. But to those of you who hasn't seen it yet, here's a more detailed picture of the things that I got from this very first edition of the First Blush box:

This is actually a pre-launching exclusive edition beauty box from First Blush which were given out. So I was very lucky and would like to thank First Blush for including me as one of those amongst the first to know about the box, and who also luckily got the first experience with the box. They are opening subscriptions now for their first September box next month so you can check out their website for further info and more detailed informations.

Meanwhile, let's see more details on the goods that I received for this very first edition of First Blush box...

Here's a complete list of what's inside the box pyramid:
Starting from back row, from left to right:
D'Eyeko Premium False Lashes in Super Full #107
Voucher IDR 20.000 for Perfect Beauty store
Egyptian Magic Cream All Purpose Skin Cream (x 3 sachets)
4 in 1 Nail Buffer (extra)
Orlane Extreme Line-Reducing Lip Care
Orlane Cleansing Serum Eyes
The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter
O.P.I Mini Nail Lacquer in #15
O.P.I Mini Nail Lacquer in #10

The first product that popped into my eyes when I opened the pyramid is the Body Shop Moringa Body Butter. I am most excited with this product because The Body Shop is one of my favorite brand and I haven't tried the Moringa scent so it is obviously my most favorite product in this beauty box. It is in the smaller size container and worth IDR 69.000 alone. This TBS Body Butter is the real size product in the box along with the D'Eyeko Premium False Eyelashes.

I already have several D'eyeko False Eyelashes in my stash but fortunately I haven't got this variant yet, so I'm pretty happy with this one too :)

The second product that I am most excited with is the Egyptian Magic Cream sachets. I've tried this cream before and I love how it made the scars on my leg diminished bit by bit, but then I ran out of the cream before the scar was totally gone. So when I knew I got these sachets inside the box I am really excited for it because now I can use them to treat the scar again and hopefully it would be gone by the time I ran out of these sachets ;p

They also included a welcome card and another card with product list in it. The difference between this beauty box and other beauty boxes is this product card doesn't include a price list like the other beauty boxes do. But I think this information would be available on their website in the near future.

Here are each of the products included as well as some information on them that I got from the product list card:

D'Eyeko Premium False Eyelashes in Super Full #107
It's handmade from 100% sterilized real hair and it took high skill and precision to produce. It feels light, easy to use, and also comfortable to wear.

The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter
This rich and soft body butter is the nutrition that your skin needs. Infused with community fair trade shea butter and has a special sweet aroma. This gives you 24 hour hydration and is suitable for normal to dry skin.

 Orlane Cleansing Serum Eye
It's an eye makeup remover to treat and reduce the appearance of fatigue eyes such as dark circles and eye bags. This is also called "Serum" because aside from cleansing it also gives nutrition to the eye area, soothes and soften eye contour, as well as avoid inflammation.
Orlane Extreme Line-Reducing Lip Care
This product help gives moisture to the lips and prevent chapped lips as well as making the lips smoother. This also treats the fine lines on the lips and prevent wrinkles.

 O.P.I Nail Lacquer in #15
O.P.I Nail Lacquer in #10
With O.P.I your nails would look more beautiful and colorful. Available in many colors with a long lasting performance. OPI is the favorite brand in nail salons.

Egyptian Magic All Purpose Cream (x3 sachets)
This famous cream have lots of benefits for skin, it has been used by celebrities and doctors worldwide. This magic cream will cure any skin problem and also enhances skin condition.

Aside from the 6-7 products above there is also an IDR 20.000 voucher for Perfect Beauty store which is an online beauty store, and also an extra item which is a 4 in 1 Nail Buffer in pink! I really love the concept of the 4 in 1 nail buffer, it has 4 surfaces / buffers that you can use for your nail, so I think this is a pretty useful extra item. I love extras that are actually functional ;)

I also received a couple of extra freebies such as extra discount from NYX for certain amount of purchase, and also a free "makeup flash" from The Balm counter (which I think is a mini 5 minute makeup refresher that you can do at The Balm counter?? -CMIIW).

Overall, I really love this first box and love the products that were in it. If the future boxes would be similar like this I would surely recommend this beauty box to you :) I saw on their website that their current sponsor include The Body Shop, Orlane, and O.P.I so you can expect products from those brands to be inside your First Blush box.

On the website you will be able to see product reviews as well as collect your blush points which after a certain amount will make you eligible for a free box. Since they have just started so these features are not available yet, but be sure to register and join the blush community so you won't missed out on the fun features!

UPDATE:  Recently First Blush sent a confirmation email stating that they were truly sorry because there was a mistake in sending out the mini O.P.I nail polishes that apparently turned out to be a counterfeit ones. They admit their mistake of not checking the goods thoroughly and have committed to not repeat the same mistake again for their future boxes.
As you might know, I previously stated that I don't really wear nail polishes so I'm definitely not a nail polish expert. Infact I never buy nail polishes before because I rarely wear them, so I wouldn't have known about the fake nail polish until the issue came out amongst us who received the box.
The most important thing is First Blush have clarified that the incident was not intentional and it is an issue they had with one of their vendor which must be settled immediately to avoid the same mistake in the future.
However, I still believe that First Blush would still be capable of delivering better service on their future boxes and I'm very glad that this incident was handled very professionally.

  2. the products included looks really nice! but as always "most" beauty boxes debut their box which super fabulous items but decline on the succeeding boxes..I hope they keep it up at this standard on the next boxes ^_~
