Products I Finished - (APRIL EMPTIES)

2:05:00 AM

Last month I didn't finished many products compared to the previous months. Maybe it was because I simply didn't have extra time to do a complete skincare or bodycare routines due to high stress and many tasks to be done. My daily routine for last month is : jump in the shower, brush my teeth, use a body wash, get out of the shower, use body spray, wear some clothes and then I'm done. No time to scrub my face and body, or even to use body lotion. This also happens on the skincare/makeup department. Most of the time I didn't bother to put on sunscreen, primer, or foundation. Let alone a complete makeup.

So that is why I didn't finished a lot of products last month compared to the previous Empties posts. It's simply because I couldn't manage to use a lot of products during last month. But I still managed to finish another bottle of shampoo (and conditioner too)! And another bottle of body wash too (because I have so many of them that I would like to finish soon).

So here are my last month (APRIL) empties:
From left to right, starting from back row:
Tresemme Deep Repair Conditioner
Tresemme Deep Repair Shampoo
Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Refreshing Body Mist
Ella Noir Violette D'Amour "Nuit" Body Douche
Etude House Aloe Moistfull Travel Size Set
Etude House Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer
Honeycat Cosmetics I'm in Heat Warming Cinnamon Lip Balm
Sampar Glamour Shot (sample size)
Orlane Anagenese 25+ Complex Past Time Fighting Care (sample size)
Givenchy Vax'in For Youth Infusion Serum (sample size)
Sunsilk Salon Expert Deep Nourishing Treatment Soft & Smooth (sachet)
Skin Food Tomato Wrinkle Sun Cream (sachet)
Deoonard 24K Active Gold Whitening Face Mask Cream (sachet)
Artistry Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel (sachet)

Although some of you might think that these are actually quite a lot of products to be finished but for you who didn't know, I have my own goal. I have too many opened products which are still 1/2 or 3/4 left so I wanted to used it up and finished all of my already opened products first. Those are my top priorities, and I do have quite a lot of already opened products on my stash so my goal is to finish a lot of them every month.

I also received some questions on how did I able to finished many products in a month's time. Well that's because most of the products were already 1/2 left or 1/4 left, or 3/4 left when I used it and tried to finish it. So it was easier to finish than starting or opening a new product. If you look closely you would also see that most of the empties products are sample sizes or travel sizes (which I have many of), so not all of them are full size products. And smaller size products are easier to finish.

HAIR CARE PRODUCTS:
  • Tresemme Deep Repair Shampoo
I still not yet found the perfect shampoo for my hair so I like to try different shampoos now and then. And that's why you can almost always find shampoos on my Empties posts ;p This Deep Repair Shampoo from Tresemme is infused with Vitamin E and it's meant for dry and brittle hair. I have oily scalp but I have dry strands, and that's why I decided to try this shampoo. When I use it, my strands were very well moisturized (which I liked), but it leaves my hair limp and lifeless without volume (which I hate).
- Recommended? Yes, if you have dry hair/scalp.
- Repurchase? No.

  • Tresemme Deep Repair Conditioner
I found that it's a waste of time for me to use a daily hair conditioner every time I wash my hair. I found out (after thousands of try-outs and experiments) that it's best for my hair if I just used a shampoo every 2 days and a deep conditioner 1-2 times a week. So I'm not gonna use any daily conditioner again from now on. This would be the last conditioner I used, and this one, just like any other conditioners I ever tried, didn't really give anything wonderful to my hair.
- Recommended? No.
- Repurchase? No.

 BODY CARE PRODUCTS:
  • Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Refreshing Body Mist
Yay for me for finishing another body mist! I still have 2 opened bottles of body mists that I need to finished first before I opened a new one ;) As you can see from my previous Empties posts, most of my body mists are from Victoria's Secret. I love VS body mists and have tried a few different scents and I love almost all of them! One of my most favorite scent is this one, but this is an older version of Pure Seduction. VS has a new variant of Pure Seduction and I much prefer this old version than the new one because it smells completely different.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes, I already purchased another one in different scent :)

  • Ella Noir Violette D'Amour "Nuit" Body Douche
This is a shower gel and this is actually part of a set I bought from the supermarket. The set comes with 2 shower gels ("Eve" & "Nuit"). I have finished the "Eve" one first back in January, and I had just finished this "Nuit" one last month. The duo set was meant for a morning shower (Eve), and for a night shower (Nuit). I didn't really like both of them because they have thick texture while I prefer my shower gels less thick. I only love the packaging of this duo set which is very Parisian looking.
- Recommended? Not really, except if you like thick shower gels.
- Repurchase? No.

 SKINCARE PRODUCTS:
(I finished quite a lot of skincare products during April but most of them are samples or travel sizes)
Etude House Aloe Moistfull Set:
This set includes: a Soothing Lotion, a Soothing Skin, and a Soothing Cream.
  • Soothing Skin:
This actually acts as a toner but not the kind of toner that you wiped off your face, this is a toner that you actually patted on your skin so that it would be absorbed by the skin. This is the one that I liked the least from the set. I didn't really like the texture which is a bit sticky, but I love that it actually sinks in quite fast to the skin.
  • Soothing Lotion:
This acts as a moisturizer or like a serum before putting on the Soothing Cream. I used this as a morning moisturizer instead, while I used the Soothing Cream as my night time moisturizer. The texture is like a lotion and it was absorbed quickly by the skin too.
  • Soothing Cream:
My most favorite out of the bunch! I love the texture which is creamy but feels cool on the skin, so it really refresh and soothes the skin when applied. I love using this as my night moisturizer because it would keep my skin moist until morning despite the non-stop air con.

== Overall, I like using this set especially the Soothing Cream because the texture is just wonderful for the skin. ==
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes I might, especially the Soothing Cream.

  • Etude House Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer
This is also from Etude House (a popular Korean brand) but this one is from their Collagen Moistfull range. This is actually a good primer and I like using this for everyday makeup. The texture is very light and not greasy at all. It would also make my skin feels smooth to the touch so it's perfect as a base for my makeup. It also didn't melt during a hot day and keep my makeup in tact for a good several hours. I featured this in my JANUARY FAVORITES post, so click below for more review.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Maybe, I would still like to try other primers.

  • Sampar Glamour Shot
Ever since I tried this one I fell in love right away with it. I love using this whenever I'm in a hurry and needed some light coverage. This product gives a smooth and flawless looking skin as well as brightening the overall appearance. On my combination oily skin I find it sometimes hard to mixed with certain foundations or bb creams, so I would usually just use this and then add a two-way-cake or a powder for simple everyday look. I love it, and I made a full review post for it:
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes, if I have the budget ;p

  • Givenchy Vax'in For Youth
I got this sample from the Givenchy event that I attended several months ago. This Vax'in For Youth is an infusion serum that claims to helps skin strengthen its own defense and repair mechanisms to combat ageing, as well as a protection against future sources of stress. This feels "soothing" on my skin when applied (typical of higher-end products - which I love!). Other than that I just hope that it does really work it's magic to my skin.
- Recommended? Not sure.
- Repurchase? Not sure.

  • Orlane Anagenese 25+ Complex Past Time Fighting Care
I got this from my first Lola Box. It is a face serum for anti-aging care. It's suitable for age 25 plus and it promises to softened fine lines and regain radiance. I only got a small tube of this product and I got a week of use out of it (using it once a day every day for a week) so I didn't really see the results, but maybe because I just didn't have enough amount of products to try. I didn't feel anything special every time I applied it so I really couldn't say much about this stuff.
- Recommended? Not sure.
- Repurchase? Not really.

  • Honeycat Cosmetics I'm in Heat Warming Cinnamon Lip Balm
I talked about this lip balm so many times on this blog. And that's because I like it so much so I used it quite often. You can see from the packaging how it got scratched so much because I bring it everywhere with me: on my jeans pocket, inside my bag, on my tiny little pouch, on the car, etc ;p The interesting name "warming cinnamon" is so true because once you applied it on your lips you would gradually feel a warming sensation on your lips. It's quite great for those colder seasons or when you're on a fully air-conned room all day.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? I wish I could, because this was sent to me for review purpose from a US company.

SACHETS:
  • Sunsilk Salon Expert Deep Nourishing Treatment Soft & Smooth
Wow, such a long name, LOL. This is a deep conditioner for the hair and I love it. It makes my hair feels soft and smooth, and the effect lasts for 3 days, which I love! My hair feels light and bouncy after using this deep conditioner. Deep conditioner is different with daily conditioner. You only use deep conditioner 1 or 2 times a week depending on your hair condition. I have combination hair (oily scalp + dry strands) and this product works great for my hair.
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? Yes.

  • Deoonard 24K Active Gold Whitening Face Mask Cream
I bought this from Qoo10 and has been curious about it for the longest time. It seems that almost every beauty salons here offers a gold mask facial that promises a radiant face. So I bought this gold mask instead and tried it on. I plan to write a full review post about this mask but my first impression was: it has a thick texture in pure gold color which feels a bit luxurious on the face. The after result was a brighter overall appearance but like any other face masks the bright appearance didn't really last long. So it's great for a one-time use only, which means: when you have special occasion to attend, use it before putting on your makeup for that day.
- Recommended? Not really.
- Repurchase? Maybe.

  • Artistry Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel
I had a couple of sachets of this product and had used one of it back on February, and now I'm using one of it again because my face was dull due to all the stress I had. It is a renewing peel from Artistry that works in just 8 minutes. It's great for anyone with dull skin so I save it for my dull moments ;p
- Recommended? Yes.
- Repurchase? I'm not sure, because I would like to try something else.

  • Skin Food Tomato Wrinkle Sun Cream with SPF 36 PA++
My daily sunscreen is the Clinique City Block but when I dig on my sample stash I found this sun cream from Skin Food which I have been curios to try. The texture is a white thick cream which applied clear to the skin. The absorption process is medium (normal), not fast or too slow. I probably like the texture of this sun cream better than the Clinique one. Too bad I forgot to take pictures with flash when using this sun cream so I don't know whether this sun cream would give a white cast on our face when photographed with flash.
- Recommended? Not sure.
- Repurchase? Probably yes, because I like the texture and the high SPF.
