JANUARY Favorites

3:09:00 AM

After taking a good look on this year's first "monthly favorites", I surprisingly found out that this time the list are fully loaded with new-to-me items.

"New-to-me" means: I haven't tried any of the products on this list before, so although all the products in this list might not be a "new-release" product but they are still new to me because I just recently tried them ;)

All of the products in this January favorites are products that I've bought recently. They all were recently tried, tested, and loved :)

In fact, you might have seen them on one of my recent beauty haul posts. >>CLICK HERE FOR HAULS & FREEBIES POSTS<<

So anyway,
here's my JANUARY Favorites:
From back row to front row, starting left to right:
Watsons Nylon Body Glove
Maybelline Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow in GY-1
C+M Voom Green Tea Eye Gel
Etude House Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer
Dove Whitening Deodorant in Original
Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub
Kracie Naive Natural Deep Cleansing Makeup Remover Towelettes

Ever since I started the "EMPTIES" blog series, I found that it has reduced the piling on my product stash a little bit, therefore I have new space for new products ^o^

I also love trying on new products, especially if in the end I found products that I fell in love with, or products that have lots of benefits for me. - Life is too short to not try everything anyway.. ;)

I've been trying a lot of new things on the beauty department lately because I have quite a big haul during December (thanks to the EMPTIES project that create available space in my product stash, LOL). I also received a couple of freebies from random sources, such as from winning giveaways, from makeup company, or gifts.

Now on to the JANUARY Favorites...
WATSONS Nylon Body Glove
I purchased this on Watsons a couple of months ago because I've been trying to look for things that could help me buff more effectively in the shower. I've tried some body brushes or loofahs with long handle as well as those with short or no handle at all, and they're all either too harsh for my skin or it's difficult to maneuver in the shower with slippery wet hands.

So I decided to try this glove type instead, and I'm glad I bought it because this has been my most fave scrubbing and buffing tool in the shower. The material makes it comfortable to use, not too harsh but yet able to thoroughly scrubs away dirts from the skin. I feel that my skin is a lot more cleaner if I showered using this body gloves. A must-have item in your shower especially if you live in a busy and high-pollutant city like Jakarta ;p

MAYBELLINE Hyper Diamonds Eyeshadow
color: GY-1
This eyeshadow palette from Maybelline is from their Hyper Diamonds collection. I hope you can see how glimmering this eyeshadow is from the photo above. The shiny glimmery colors of this eyeshadow is what Hyper Diamonds is all about. This is in the color GY-1 which is a grey shade. It consists of several shades of grey from a very light grey to a dark grey. There's also a shimmery white color for highlighter. This palette is perfect for smokey eyes, especially for night time because your eyes would sparkle under the lights. Soooo prettyyyy...

I also love how easy it is to use and create many styles of smokey eyes. The shimmers is fine for me, it's not too glittery and minimum fall-out too. It just sparkles and glimmers in the light. This is my go-to party look right now ;)

DOVE Whitening Deodorant
in Original
I've been experimenting with deodorant spray now after using a deodorant stick for so many years. I thought I'd change my rituals a little bit. So if you saw my last beauty haul you'll notice that I've purchased 2 deodorant sprays which are the Nike one and this Dove one. And after trying and using both of them for a few weeks, I decided that I like this Dove one better. Simply because of the bottle is shorter than the Nike one which have tall lean bottle.
The shorter bottle makes it easier to use when you spray this deodorant to your underarm by yourself. I also love the scent which is very refreshing. And it lasts too. 'Nuff said.

TONY MOLY Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub
This is a lip scrub by a famous Korean brand called Tony Moly. If you're my US or European reader then you might not know about this brand, but Tony Moly is quite a popular Korean brand here in Asia.
First of all, I love the super cute packaging. And 2nd of all, I love the texture of the lip scrub and how it doesn't taste weird on my lips. >>YOU CAN READ MY RAVE HERE<<

KANEBO KRACIE Naive Natural Deep Cleansing Makeup Remover Towelettes
FYI: I'm crazy about makeup remover towelettes. I've been trying on different brands, and been searching for the most effective yet affordable ones. Currently I'm using this one from Kracie which is the sub-brand of Kanebo. This one is from their Naive range which has olive oil properties in it. I was interested to buy this because it had the best deal compared to other brands on SASA website. The price was $8 and it comes with 50 sheets, while other brands usually only have 10 to 30 sheets. I used makeup towelettes almost everyday so I needed one that have many sheets instead of those smaller ones with lesser sheets.
I love the packaging which is very compact and easy for traveling. It also has double closures so the tissues inside will remain wet. Although the sheet were not as soft as the Purederm one but the makeup removing power is pretty great. Totally my most HG makeup remover so far! ;)

ETUDE HOUSE Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer
+
C+M VOOM Green Tea Eye Gel

Etude House Collagen Moistfull Smoothing Ampule Primer
This is a travel size which I got from a giveaway. I love Etude House products because almost all of their products that I've tried were a success ;p
Etude House is a popular mainstream Korean brand and they have many ranges to choose from. This one is a primer from their Collagen Moistfull range, and I found this very great for my skin. If I use this my skin would look smooth and my makeup will go on nicely and stays put all day. This also doesn't make my skin greasy and seems to keep the oil at bay. I love using this for everyday wear :)

VOOM Green Tea Eye Gel
This is one of those items that I dared myself to buy without browsing for the reviews first. I was in need of an eye treatment and this was one of the choices at SASA, and since the price was pretty cheap so I bought it anyway, hoping that it would work. Although I was skeptical at first (because I'm not familiar with the brand) but it turns out that after more than a month of usage, I think I saw a little improvement in my eye area.
I was worried with the crease lines near the corner of my eyes and now I saw that the crease were slightly less-noticeable. This also feels great on the skin and doesn't feel greasy or wet at all. From my experience, it's hard to find an eye treatment that's not greasy or oily, so I really love this.

That's it for my December Favorites. What are your current favorites?
