Review: THE BODY SHOP Vitamin E Moisture Cream

11:44:00 PM

I've read again and again about how important is Vitamin E for our skin, so when I was in need of a new moisturizer I'm glad that I got this Vitamin E Moisture Cream from The Body Shop.

It is one of their top best-seller product and I believe there's a cult out there who really believes in The Body Shop Vitamin E range. This Vitamin E moisture cream in particular is said to be "sold one every 16 seconds"!

This is actually my first time of trying any Vitamin E product from The Body Shop, and after using this for a few months now I can say that it has bring greatness for my skin :)

These photos were taken when I just got it, so you can see that there were still lots of products inside the small jar. Currently, the jar is almost empty, I'm almost out of this moisture cream.

The texture of this moisture cream is soft and like a creamy light lotion, with no smell whatsoever. The main ingredient is the vitamin E which they extracted from wheatgerm oil. They also added vitamin E from soya oil which extracted from the community fair trade soya beans from southern Brazil.

Vitamin E is good for your skin. It hydrates and protect your skin from the pollutant and free radicals. Our skin needs vitamin E as anti-oxidant and also as a skin perfector, making the skin smooth & soft, and healthy looking as well.

There are other products in this Vitamin E range from The Body Shop that are suitable for each skin types, but I decided to try this one that was meant for normal skin, because it is the most popular one.

My Take:
I have a combination-oily skin and I live in a tropical country.
With those condition above I find this Vitamin E texture is a tad too creamy for my morning moisturizer. But I found another good use of it which is as my night cream/moisturizer.

As part of my skincare routines I always put on some moisturizer after thoroughly cleansing my face at night, this is to keep my face stay hydrated because I sleep with the air-conditioner on (which can cause dryness to skin).

That's why I tend to use a creamier moisturizer for my night routine, and this Vitamin E Moisture Cream is a great example. It's not too creamy or oily, and it got absorbed by my skin easily. It gives instant suppleness to the skin as well as perfect hydration. My face would also look less oily in the morning, unlike other night cream that I once used.

So overall, this has been my trusted night moisturizer because of the right texture and also because of the hydration and suppleness results that it gives. I always bring this every time I travel or have a sleepover somewhere else. I also use this as a morning moisturizer if the day was cold and rainy because this will keep my skin hydrated through all those cold temperatures.

If you have a normal skin or a combination-dry skin then I think you should try this one too as your daily moisturizer :)

PS: I still want to try some other products from the Vitamin E range such as the Vitamin E Face Mist, Moisture Serum, Cleansing Wipes, and the Illuminating Moisture Cream.

What's your favorite range of The Body Shop? I want to try the Seaweed range because I think it's the most suitable for my current skin condition. What's yours?

  1. Ditunggu review produk yang lainnya. Saya sendiri sudah mencoba TBS Vitamin E Cleansing Wipes-nya. Setiap kali digunakan selalu meninggalkan rasa menyengat di kulit wajah.

  4. I've been using these cream during my stay in the UK. It definitely able to save my skin from total dryness during the winter. However, after I return back to Indonesia, I stop using this because it makes my skin looks very glossy. Plus it adds several zits on my face. *cry*

Though still, I'm still a fan of The Body shop.
