OOTD - Featuring: AhaIShopping

11:30:00 AM

I just received this dreamy sweater tunic from AhaIshopping in the most gorgeous green shade I've ever laid my eyes on. Many people have also commented on how gorgeous this green beauty is whenever I wore it.

(both photos above are from Ahaishopping)

I fell in love at the first sight when I saw this in AhaIshopping website. Aside from the gorgeous green color, it also has a very unique design that the website called "fishtail design".
It consists of a 2 piece items: a longer tunic dress + a cropped knitted sweater.

The cropped sweater has a cute chiffon accents at each side, and the tunic dress that are meant to be worn under the sweater has cute frilly bottom with white lace trim.

What I received in the mail is exactly the same as in the website photos, so don't worry... at AhaIshopping you'll get exactly what you expected. The shipping were quite delayed due to the new year's holiday traffic but that is normal.

The quality of the clothing is superb, it is so worth the price. The knitted quality on the sweater are closed-tight so there are no lose threads or tiny holes that we usually would find in a poorly knitted sweater. The tunic insert made of satin on top and chiffon at the bottom, with an added white lace trim.

This beautiful piece is called the "Korean fishtail design knitted dress two-piece" on the AhaIshopping website and it's available in size Small and Medium. The current price is USD 32.12 while the regular price is USD 80.30 >> [insert exclamation mark here]

I always love buying 2 piece items because then I could have more options to mix and match each piece. So with this particular one, I could think of the many ways I can wear it, either on their own or by separating them...

Here are some ways to style them that I came up with :

As a set:
Wedges: Payless
This is when I'm wearing it as a set,
just like the one on the website.

The length is a little bit awkward for me because it is a little bit too short for my preference. I don't feel comfortable wearing a skirt that is too short, especially when it's not spandex because there is a chance that the wind will blow it up (or maybe I just watch too many movies where that happens) ;p

So then I decided to add another skirt underneath to make it look longer than it originally is, therefore I would be comfortable to wear it outside :

With additional underlayer:
White Skirt (worn underneath): Garage Sale
Skinny belt: Old collection of mine
Necklace: Old collection of mine
Bracelet: Stroberi
Sandals: Yongki Komaladi

Adding another skirt underneath is a trick I always used for those dresses and skirts that are too short for me. The secret is to pick a thin skirt as an underlayer so that it won't add volume to your bottom. Choosing a skirt that has similar pattern / color / fabric as the outer skirt is also important.

Because the tunic has a white lace trim so I picked out a white skirt with similar lace trimming as the underlayer so that it look like it was part of the tunic/dress.

The Sweater piece:
White Jeans: Random brand
Earrings: Kate Spade
Sandals: Charles & Keith

In this outfit I only wear the cropped sweater and I chose to pair it with my white jeans to accentuate the little white thread dots that are all over the sweater.

I also rolled up the sleeves a little bit for a more casual look. This outfit is perfect for watching movies at the cinema because I always got cold inside the cinema ;p

The Tunic piece:
Sleeveless Top: Zara
White Skirt (worn underneath): Garage sale
Necklace: Vintage, hand me down from Mom
Bracelets: Chicnova (reviewed here)
Wedges: Payless
The tunic itself can also be mixed and matched with other items such as this sleeveless Zara top that I worn over the tunic, making the tunic look like a skirt instead ;p

You could also wear a top underneath the tunic, making the tunic as an overall. I also chose a top with a frilly design on the sleeves so that it matched the overall girly feminine style of the tunic + skirt.

So there you go, ...the many ways of styling my 2-piece items ;)

    Hope this helps ya!
