Event: Make Up Forever HD Series New Campaign

3:16:00 AM

Last week me and Desy from Living Daisy went together to MUFE / Make Up Forever counter on Plaza Senayan 2nd floor to attend their invitation for introducing their newest ad campaign on Make Up Forever HD Complexion series. This new ad campaign proudly present the first ever make up campaign that has NOT been digitally retouched

Can you believe that? After all those beauty ads that we see in glossy magazines pages we are so sure that all of them are digitally enhanced photos. I mean, how is it possible to have lashes that long and thick, right? And how can the model's face is so smooth like porcelain, too smooth like it was out of this world? Well, it is no secret that beauty ads fooled us with their digitally enhanced and digitally corrected photos, they sometimes erase a model's hips to make her look really skinny or to make her looks like she has the smallest waist in the universe. It's up to us to believe the ads or not, but if there's a beauty ad that has not been digitally retouched at all, now this is what we wanna see!

A great ad always pictures a great visual, but the truth is reality doesn't always seem as fabulous as expected. Now with this new MUFE ad, what you see is what you got! This ad features 4 beautiful women with different skin tones, using the full HD range:

If you look closely you will see that these ads are not as glamorous as other beauty ads out there, you can even see on one of the photo that one model's underarm's natural color hasn't been retouched at all. But who cares with the rest of the photo if you can see that their faces are pretty fab! These models only uses MUFE HD series makeup and nothing else. Pretty fabulous, don't you think?

If you're a loyal MUFE users then you must have known about their HD Complexion Series. One of the sought-after product from the series is the HD Invisible Cover Foundation. The foundie was created to be used in front of High Definition cameras, so I think this is great for fashion bloggers or beauty bloggers who took photos almost everyday with their modern DSLR ;) This foundie is said to make your skin looks flawless and it will masks any imperfections without adding more texture to the skin, perfect for photos!

Anyway, I love the whole concept of this un-retouched real beauty / real make-up campaign. It's about being real and not be fooled with over-rated beauty ads again.

Here are some pics I took from Make Up Forever counter:
Cute pink-y stuff!
The HD series
Love their falsies...

MUFE also launch an interactive micro site www.hd-not-retouched.com in which you can find a short video which was shot by a high definition camera. The  video is shown on slow-motion and it portrays the 4 models on a glamorous party. Viewers (yes, you) are encouraged to discover all objects on that video that have been retouched. This is like an international contest game, come visit it and you'll get what I mean ;)

At the end of the event we were given some small make up tubes from the HD series as a goodie bag:
From left, I got the HD Microfinish Powder, Elixir, Primer, Lab Shine lip gloss, and Blush.

I love wearing these in my make up routine. I never tried MUFE primer before but I think this one is great. I used the Elixir first, then the primer, followed by a foundation. And if I'm done with my make up I swipe on the HD Microfinish powder to set it.

And I also love this Blush and Lab Shine. The blush is particularly a new favorite, it is highly pigmented so just a tiny dab of it will show prominent dewy colors on your cheek, I also love the pink color which is quite suitable for many skin colors.

And here's after I tried using all of the above make up:

Oh wait, since the ad campaign is about un-retouched photo so below I present you some un-retouched photos of mine too ;)
My actual skin is NOT as smooth as that, trust me ;)
I'm using (in chronological order) MUFE HD Elixir, HD Primer, Thevi liquid foundie, Jenulence concealer, L'oreal Mineral face powder, HD Blush, Revlon pencil eyeliner, Giella mascara, Artistry brow pencil, HD Microfinish Powder, Maybelline lipstick, HD Lab Shine lip gloss.

My skin is combination with oily t-zone and dry cheeks, the Elixir and Primer doesn't make it cakey at all, and  it really set my foundie, creating a flawless smooth base. My make up stays longer and doesn't look oily at all. I also love the blush because it's highly pigmented and because the blush stay longer on my cheeks too.
