The New Variant of Kotex -- and a campaign for teenage girls

11:49:00 PM

I maybe late on this topic but a couple of days ago I received a package from Kotex. Yes, THAT menstrual pads! I received a pouch with 3 pads of their newest variation and a "Book Of Truths by Kotex".

I received this sample package for free just by filling out my address on their website. It is part of "Kotex I Know" campaign. The pads sample that they sent out is gorgeous! I never knew that a pad can be this pretty. It says "Kotex Luxe Ultra Thin Design".
Each pads has it's own individual wrap (and it's orange! -- see above pic, on the left). And each individual pad has girly graphics design right ON the pad itself (see the example picture on the back of the pouch above). The pads are ultra thin as the name says, and that's how I prefer my pads. I always look for ultra thin pads every time my cycle is here because I personally think that the thinner the better ;)
Too bad my cycle isn't here yet so I have yet to try this pads personally, but I once used Kotex (the usual version) and I'm quite satisified with it's absorbing power, so judging from the ultra thin shape and the funky design I think I'll be changing my route to this Kotex Luxe Ultra Thin Design from now on :))

But wait a minute...
The highlight of the sample package was actually "The Book of Truth"! Because unlike other freebies that usually sucks and cheapo looking, this book is of high quality! It's a hard cover book, all the pages are made of thick high quality glossy paper and every pages are full of colorful vibrant graphics from cover to cover! Amazing! And to consider that this book is free and everyone can get it, the company must have a really big advertising/promotion budget ;)

The book is full of eye-catching and easy-to-understand facts regarding menstrual cycle, reproduction system as well as sex educations and a bit of psychological approach surrounding teenager's issues. The vibrant colors and very cool graphics will surely attract the teenagers and the contents of the book is highly recommended for teenagers and young girls alike.

As an added bonus, there are also several colorful origami papers with various myth-buster notes on it that are stuffed inside a special holder which attached at the back cover. These notes on paper are supposed to be given away to fellow teenage girls or other young girls to help spread the message because there are still some girls that believe in old myths surrounding menstruation/reproduction/sex issue. There is also an instruction on how to make an origami out of the paper notes, you could make a female shape and then give it to a friend so that friend can read the message in it and can help spread the message too.
I say this is a very great approach from Kotex to help educate young girls, two thumbs up for this campaign! This book is perfect for a teenage girl!
Sadly by the time I wrote this, the Free Sample section at their website is no longer open because they have reached their targeted 1000 free samples. So I guess I'm lucky enough to get one ;p Hopefully they will continue this great campaign and stock on the free samples again.

But even if the they're out of free samples, their website is worth to visit. I must tell you that the website www.iknow.co.id is super duper cool! With girly graphics and features, from the head start you will experience one cool modern web. While you're there you can browse for cool features such as free wallpapers, cute emoticons and even a free downloadable iPhone skin!
You can also try the Personality Quiz while you're there. Here's my quiz result:

  2. hi Audrey,
So they have opened the free sample link again? This is good news!

I actually received mine in over a month, but that's probably due to the high amount of requests they got on their website.
Do you mean the outside box as in the packaging box? it's a simple brown paper package.
Hope you & your friends can have fun with it, lots of fun & important info in it :D
