[2018] October - November Empties

1:47:00 PM

Oh hi, welcome back to my #Empties post!
I still remember the days that I regularly post about my empties every end of the month, but then life came along and I got a little bit busier and a little bit more lazy to use up my products, so now the empties posts are scarce compared to the old days (*sigh..).

I also seem to not be able to use up a lot of products nowadays, so I usually only end up with 5 or so empty products by the end of each month. Back in the days I could have finished more than 10 products each month ! (including sample sachets and travel size products). But these days I seem to take a lot of time just to finished up a product, so that's why I end up in small quantities of empties every month. And that's why I always accumulate two-months worth of empties into one post. And here is my empties post for October-November 2018 :

As you can see from above picture, although I waited two months to accumulate my empties I still don't really have a significant amount of finished products. I mean, going back to my older empties post I think I could have done better. I used to be able to finished up to 15 products in a month but now it's like barely 10 products in two months!

I don't know what happened there. Maybe I just don't used a lot of products anymore. And maybe I wasn't as diligent as I was back then when I used up products religiously. But hey I think it's better than having no empties, right? Because I love finishing a product, it felt liberating and satisfying. And that also means I didn't waste a product, or if I purchased the product myself it means that I didn't waste my money by throwing it away. I'm also planning to revive my #projectpanning again - because I still have a considerable amount of products right now that I'd like to finish soon. So you will see a couple posts about project panning in future uploads. But now, let's see what I can finished the last 2 months :

Spa Essentia White Glow Toner
This is probably my favorite amongst all the Spa Essentia products that I tried a couple months back. I love using face mists and this one is a fave. It has a very light texture, felt very refreshing and invigorating, and doesn't ruin my makeup or melt my skincare. I can just spray this whenever I want, and I did spray up frequently every day :)

Pixi Glow Tonic
Believe it or not this was my first Pixi glow tonic bottle. I was late in trying out this cult product because it was so expensive and I didn't want to lash out my money if I didn't know if my skin would love it or not. Then I found an online store that sells the smaller size bottle and they were having a sale, so that's when I purchased and tried it for the first time. And OMG I fell in love with it instantly. My combi skin is agreeing with this tonic. All the acids and other ingredients it has inside seems to work wonders on my skin. I was using this and the CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid, and that combo of BHA+AHA works wonder to my skin especially to my acne area. I use the BHA at night and the AHA (Pixi) in the morning.

> Replacement : Still using up The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% +HA 2%

Garnier Light Complete Whitening Serum Cream (w/SPF)
This was my travel day moisturizer. I spent every weekend at our parents house so I always bring my travel skincare bag with me and this was what I used for morning moisturizer. This contain a lot of products and although I've been using it for months and months it seems that it's hard to finish it up. This still has just a little bit of product left but I just got way too bored and just getting sick of it so I had to make an exception and just throw this to the bin. But for a daily no-fuss moisturizer this is good though.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil
This was a love and hate. I love the formula of the cleansing oil cause it really cleans off my makeup and even waterproof eyeliner too. BUT I hate the packaging that spills everywhere even though I didn't really move it a lot. It also gets even gross looking near the end of its usage. I'm glad I finally finished it though, because this took quite a time to finish too.
> Wouldn't repurchase because of the packaging problem
> Replacement : Biore Cleansing Oil

Sukin Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub
I think this one was decent for a facial scrub. It has lotion texture with some gritty texture in it but when I scrub my face with it I can't feel the gritty texture. I was hoping for a gritty scrub (because that's the kind of scrub I like), but this one was a softer type of scrub so you won't really feel like you're scrubbing those dead skin off. I would love to try other Sukin variants though as this Super Greens variant is just so-so for me.
> Wouldn't Repurchase because there are better products out there
> Replacement : Juara Radiance Enzyme Scrub

Spa Essentia White Glow Body Scrub
This one was also the softer type of scrub and just like I said before, I just prefer a gritty texture scrub  than a soft lotion-y type, but I still enjoy this one, as I do enjoy scrubbing my body in the shower. The lotion scrub type also means that it's easier and less hassle to use compared to natural scrubs which can cause a mess on the bathroom floor. I really enjoy the scent of this one too.
> Recommended if you like soft lotion-y scrub with nice spa scent
> Replacement : Juara Candlenut Body Polish

Skin Aqua Perfect Matte BB Cream
I only finished one makeup product during the last 2 months, which is this BB Cream from the Japanese brand Skin Aqua. I love this BB Cream as it gives a matte finish to my combi oily skin and it doesn't really oxidized on me, I think the color stays the same all through out the day. I also love the texture that glides on the skin smoothly, easy to blend, and is a perfect base for my loose powder and makeup.

Etude House Damask Rose
Innisfree Rose Mask
Both of these are hydrating masks from different Korea brands. I have written a thorough post about these sheetmasks here on this post : Rose Sheet Mask.

Sally Hansen Triple Shine Nail Color in #280 Dive In
I used to have a lot of nail polishes (mostly from PR) but I have decluttered them and gave them to my friends because I don't really use nail polish that often. In fact, I rarely use nail polish. Anyway, I decluttered them and only left a couple of bottle behind, including this one which I think has a unique but flattering shade on me. I like it because it looks good on my nails especially for spring or summer days. But since I don't use it often so it became compromised in time. And now I can't use it anymore :(

Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm
So many people swore by this lip balm. For me, although it IS a very good lip balm for your chapped lips but sometimes it doesn't deliver really well on me especially when I have those "super dry lips" days. On those days where my lips seems impossible to heal I used this day and night and never used anything else, but still my lips felt dry in the morning, even when I used a thick amount of this in the night before. It does work in the end, but on me it just took a lot longer time to heal mine.

That is all for my 2 months worth of empties this time. Hopefully I can finish more products by the end of December. And also, I will try to total how many products I managed to finished during 2018 on the next Empties post. So, stay tune for the December empties post!

Meanwhile, I can't believe the year would come to an end shortly! It feels just like yesterday I started a new year with new hopes and new spirit. And now it's already time to start a new year again, wow! Time flies soooo fasttt...

Anyway, for October - November I managed to finished only 8 full size products, 2 sheet masks, and throw away 1 product. So in total : 11 products. Hmm, like I said, I could do better. Here's hoping to next month full of empties! Have a good one, guys!
