[Skincare] : THE BODY SHOP Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

What's your favorite product to remove makeup?
Micellar water?
Cleansing balm?
Cleansing oil?
Milk Cleanser?

My favorites are Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Balm. I used Cleansing Oil at home and Cleansing Balm for travels or stay-overs because they are more friendly to bring around in your luggage cause they won't spill and TSA approved too - because they're balm instead of liquid ;)

During these years of beauty blogging I have tried several brands of cleansing oils, one of them is this Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil from The Body Shop. I originally wanted the cleansing balm version but the store never seems to restocked them so I had to give in to the cleansing oil version instead. But that's okay, because I love cleansing oils too.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil
It is an all-in-one refreshing oil cleanser made from camomile extract that will quickly removes all your makeup in one simple step. Your skin will be left feeling beautifully clean and soft, after every use of this nourishing oil formula. Suitable for sensitive skin.

This cleansing oil has a nice formula with a medium-thick consistency. It lift off makeup and dirt quite well except for heavy duty waterproof eyeliners, and I still need a separate face wash afterwards to pick up any oil and makeup residue left. But I always do double-cleansing anyways because you DO NEED to double cleanse if you're wearing makeup.

I also need to do a separate face wash because just like other cleansing oil they left an oily feeling on the skin surface, so you'll always gonna need a separate face wash or wipe it with toner after using cleansing oils.

I like this Camomile Cleansing Oil because the formula is so gentle and doesn't irritate my skin. It also did remove my makeup (as I previously told you above) while keeping my skin from dryness.  It also doesn't have a distinguished scent and I think this can be used for all skin types including the sensitive ones.

Cleansing oils are so easy to use too. You just apply 2-4 pumps on your palm (depends on how thick your makeup is) and then rub your palm a few secs and apply it on your face. Then make circular wipes on your face to lift and remove that makeup. Then wet your finger and do the circular wipes again until all your makeup melted. Lastly, wash and rinse your face with water. And continue with the double cleansing.

I actually like the formula of this cleansing oil but the packaging is another story though. After a few usage it leaks around the neck of the bottle, making the whole bottle feels oily and sticky all over. So obviously I can't take this with me on travel because it's so fragile and prone to leakage.

But overall it has a nice formula and gentle enough for sensitive skin. But it's not strong enough to take off heavier makeup in one stroke. If you use heavier makeup then you probably need to repeat the cleansing twice until you're sure all your makeup has come off. And don't forget to wash your face with regular face wash or swipe your face with cleansing toner afterwards :)

What's your favourite cleansing oil?

  2. Aku juga suka pembersih makeup yang teksturnya oil atau micellar water sekalian. Kalau milk gak masalah juga sih, tapi kayaknya berasa lebih bersih aja kalo oil :D
