SISLEY Phyto-Blanc and Soir De Lune Perfumed Body Lotion

7:25:00 PM

I've heard of Sisley before and I know that it's one of the high-end French brand that is one of the world leaders in luxury cosmetics, so when I received these samples below from Sisley I was delighted to try them because I know they're on the expensive side ;p

Sisley is a French company that creates and distributes skincare, make-up products and fine perfumes. They are known for their famous Phytocosmetology concept.

Phytocosmetology involves using natural plant extracts in beauty products, so their products are derived from natural plant extracts and essential oils that were rigorously selected and controlled to ensure the best quality.

In the skincare department, Sisley has a range of lightening products called the Phyto-Blanc series. According to the pamphlet they gave me, there are 4 products on the Phyto-Blanc series to be used together to achieve optimum results, and they are supposed to be used in the appropriate steps as below:

Phyto-Blanc Buff and Wash Facial Gel
Phyto-Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion
Phyto-Blanc White Tensor
Phyto-Blanc Clearing Essence with Vitamin C

I received samples of step 1 to 3 of above list, along with samples of Sisley Soir De Lune Perfumed Body Cream.

Specifically, I received 2 sample sachets of the Facial Gel and the White Tensor but since I have a small face so one sachet can last me up to 7 or 9 uses. That means I got about 3 weeks of usage, and I think that's enough time to be able to review them properly. And this is what I think about the products:

Phyto-Blanc Buff and Wash Facial Gel

This is the first step of the treatment series. It contains White Mulberry and Scutellaria extract which lighten the skin, Lemon extract (evens out the complexion), Essential oil of Lavender (purifies), and Polyethylene Balls which gently detach dead cells and smooth the skin.

This facial gel has a unique texture. It has a thick clear texture with tiny white granules inside it. That tiny granules are the Polyethylene micro balls that acts as a cosmetic buffer and gets rid of the top layer skin cells that contain melanin:

The texture
This facial gel is suitable for all skin types. The gel itself didn't feel harsh at all when applied on to skin, even when I stroke it up and down my face buffing it all the way.

On the first attempt, I put it in my palm, mixed with a little bit of water and then did a stroking motion between both of my palms, and I felt something that really strikes me, like a little electricity going on in there. I was amazed because I think it might the buffing process. I didn't feel it on my face though..

The micro balls are still there after buffing it up and down

The after result is a clean, moist, and more revitalized face. When I buffed it vigorously I would get a brighter, clear and glowing complexion afterward. It looks like my skin tone is 2 levels more bright than it actually is :D

It is also supposed to "gently cleanses and sloughs off surface dead cells and impurities as well as promotes a clearer complexion", and I think it really does what it says it would!
It cleans the skin, leaving it smooth and soft with a pleasant feeling of freshness.

Next product:
Phyto-Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion

Step two is the Phyto-Blanc Lightening Toning Lotion. It contains White Mulberry, Scutellaria extracts, Lemon extract, Essential Oils of Lavender and Marjoram which purify and refresh the skin, and Jioh extract which has moisturizing properties.

It is to be used after the Buff and Wash Facial Gel and before the White Tensor. This toning lotion will brighten complexion and tighten the pores. The texture is very watery and clear so it looks and feels just like water:

The texture
The watery texture makes it a bit tricky to pour from the bottle because the sample bottle has a wide mouth so when I tried to pour this it would usually end up spilling all over ;p But I'm messy like that, and the original bottle might not have a wide mouth like the sample bottle, so don't you worry...

You may get tempted to use this as a toner to clean the rest of your makeup after cleansing, but all of the Phyto-Blanc series are intended to be used before your makeup, so this toning lotion is more like a prep before applying makeup. After using this toner my skin feels refreshed and ready for the next step which is the moisturizer below...

Phyto-Blanc White Tensor Immediate Lift

It contains WheatProtein, Pro-Vitamin B5, Jioh extract, Vitamin E, and Essential Oils of Lavender and Marjoram. Use it lightly, only 2 drops for both face and neck.

It is said to be a new and unique concept of radiance booster, the first ever skin-lightening product with an immediate "lift" effect. A refreshing, fluid and non-greasy emulsion gel that brightens the complexion and smoothes facial features.

Well, I don't know why it said "gel" because the texture is more like a lotion to me. A lotion in a very white color:

The texture
It's a white light lotion which feels soft to the touch and smooth on the skin when being applied. It felt luxurious and absorbs rather quickly.

Right after you put this on, it would gives out a "white-ish" impression on your overall face - you'll see that your face looks "white", which I admit is pretty alarming at first, because I don't want to look like wearing a white mask. But I guess I should not worry too much because then after a few minutes the "white" is completely gone. It would dissolve into an evenly all-around glow. It definitely makes your face brighter than it seems and makes a good base for your makeup too. And I noticed that if I use this before my makeup then my foundie / BB Cream and the rest of my makeup would go smoothly on my skin :)

It doesn't give an oily feeling and it doesn't break me out too. I have a combination skin and this goes on great with my skin and I don't have any problem with it too.

Here's the "Before and After" photo that was taken after doing the 3 steps above:
I hope you can see the difference from above photo. The "After" definitely looks more radiant and plumped and looks healthier than the "Before", right? ;p

Overall, I love using these Sisley Phyto-Blanc series. It gave the results that it promised and all the textures feels great on the skin. It's been a great experience trying these on. The price might be expensive but if you have the budget why not try these on? ;p

-------------------------------------
I also got another product samples from Sisley which is their
Soir De Lune Moisturizing Perfume Body Cream
Soir De Lune is for the initiated, original, and singular.
It's elegant, intense, and rich.

Soir De Lune is one of Sisley's iconic perfume which now been re-introduced as a moisturizing perfumed body cream. Enhanced with the finest of the perfume's essences, it remains perfectly true to the original fragrance and diffuses it's dense, warm notes.

The perfumed body cream formula includes some of Sisley's active ingredients such as Shea Butter, Phytosqualane, Sunflower Oil, and Grapeseed Oil. It also contains Jioh extract, Organic Mallow extract, Pro-Vitamin B5, Vitamin E-Acetate, and extracts of Butcher's Broom and Horse Chestnut.

I really really love this body lotion. I put this on whenever I have special events or date night with hubby because it smells wonderfully pleasant. The scent is more like a sensual and floral scent, it's a bit feminine, girly, but elegant at the same time.

I also love the texture of the body cream. It's not too thick, not too creamy but it's not too thin either. It's just perfect for our weather here. It's also easily absorbed by the skin and doesn't leave any residue on top of the skin. My skin would also feels smooth to the touch and with this perfumed body cream I don't feel the need to add perfume anymore, because unlike regular body cream/lotion these types of perfumed body creams are strongly scented, it's just like you're already wearing perfume :)

Overall, I definitely love and would definitely buy this perfumed body cream if I have the money and ready to splurge ;)
