[Skincare]: CLARINS Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel

4:39:00 PM

This review is supposed to be up a long time ago but I don't know why I never finished the draft... until now (;p). This was my main cleanser for many months. I even repurchased it twice because I liked it, and now I have finished all of them and ready to give out the review.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel
A fresh foaming gel that removes all traces of make-up and pollution, leaving your skin clean, detoxified and blemish-free. Its gentle cleansing base neutralises the effects of hard water. The creamy foam eliminates impurities and make-up and protects even the most delicate skin. Skin is cleansed and fresh-looking to ensure a bright, luminous complexion.

There is a reason why I keep repurchasing it and why I used it as my main cleanser. It was because I really enjoyed using it and I can use it everyday morning and night without the fear of it drying my skin. The formula is gentle and light so I think it would be suitable for all skin types. It has a light transparent gel formula which emulsifies nicely when mixed with water. It doesn't stripped off my skin, doesn't make my skin feels tight or dry, and does not leave any residue or sticky feeling afterwards.

This cleansing gel features ingredients such as Soapwort and Moringa.
Saponaria or Soapwort is known in the cosmetics world to gently remove impurities from skin surface. While Moringa is known for its nutritive and medicinal properties. The peptide extracts from moringa seeds is also used by Clarins to encourage the elimination of pollution particles from the skin. So both of these two main ingredients are meant for cleansing and purifying the skin.

The website states that it could eliminate impurities and makeup.
Well I never used it as a sole cleanser to remove my makeup because I believe in double cleansing to really make sure there's no makeup residue left on my skin. So I always use a first cleanser such as cleansing balm / cleansing oil first and then continue with this Clarins Energizer Cleansing Gel for the 2nd cleansing. So I'm not sure it could really lift off all of your makeup with this cleanser alone. Maybe if you only wear light bb cream and/or powder it could work on that, but if you wear complete makeup (foundation+powder+blush+etc) then I wouldn't recommend using this cleansing gel alone. Otherwise, this cleansing gel is great for everyday face wash. I even used it for day and night.

Overall, I really love this Clarins Energizer Cleansing Gel and would love to recommend it to others. If you'd like to try something simple from Clarins you might wanna try this one out. This cleansing gel is light and foamy, really makes your face feels clean without drying, and the packaging is sturdy enough for travel too. I have repurchased this twice because I really enjoyed using it. I've tried a few of Clarins products before and I love everything I tried. I would love to try other products from Clarins because I think it works really well with my skin (though the price sometimes doesn't go along with my wallet *cringe*).

So how about you?
Have you tried any Clarins product lately? Which ones are your favorites?
