[Shopping Diary] : Birthday Haul

6:57:00 PM

My birthday was last month back in August, and every year I always spend the special day together with my hubby. On our birthdays we usually have our annual "birthday dinner + shopping date" celebration. Sometimes if we have the budget and if the time is right we would try to incorporate a "birthday weekend" like last year's hubby's birthday week getaway :)

This year we would go our usual way though... On the day of my birthday me and the mister went shopping at the outlet, followed by a lovely late lunch and a delightful afternoon coffee shortly after lunch. My mom and brother already plan a barbecue dinner for me so we went to my parents house for dinner. Later at night we went out again to meet my cousins for another round of coffee. I had a really nice time that day :)

So anyway, because this is a haul post so I'm gonna list some of the hauls from my birthday shopping date, as well as birthday gifts from hubby, family etc. Every year on my birthday I usually also gifted myself with a special gift, lol. I think I found that as a reward for myself, for the work I've done, and for being good on doing some monthly shopping bans (;p).

Shopping Date Hauls :
Talbots Pink Plaid Shirt
(Hubby often says that he likes seeing me in shirts, so I kept buying shirts especially the plaid ones because I don't really own many shirts in my wardrobe)
Forever 21 Lace Top
(I like this one because "ehm, it's lace!" - and because it has a cute little zipper at the back)
No Brand Lazy Pants
(This pants has no label so I don't know where it's from, but I like how easy breezy it is. I'm loving lazy pants like these nowadays because I'm getting uncomfortable with jeans)
Joe Fresh Lazy Pants
(Another easy breezy pants, this one has black n white abstract print and tapered ankle)
Loft Black Legging
(I always loses my black leggings and I don't know why. So I am always in need of a good black legging because I kept losing them)

Hubby's Gift :
Louis Vuitton Mini Pochette in Monogram
I am so excited with this one because this is actually my very first LV, lol! I wanted to start small because I don't wanna splurge too much on my very first purchase. What I love about it is how this pouch can have multiple functions. I can use it as my phone case to store my phone inside my bigger bags, or as a small pouch to bring just the essentials such as money, cards, and phone - for those days when I don't wanna be bothered with big bags, or as a wristlet for going to weddings and suchs. The chain is removable and can be moved into different positions, making it wearable as a pouch, a wristlet, or a mini purse :)
Thank you so much hubby for this gift!! I am forever thankful ... Alhamdulillah.
(and hopefully this won't be the last ^o^)

From me to me :
Last year I gifted myself a pink MBMJ computer case and a blue ipad case from the Galeries Lafayette sale, this year I decided to treat myself something from Reebonz. I like shopping from Reebonz because it's easy, I can turn my purchases into "cicilan 12 bulan" / credits with my bank, and they also have many assortment of bags and slgs to offer in cheaper than retail price! They are trusted, so if you haven't shop your designer items from them then you should start now. CLICK HERE to go to Reebonz.
Anyway, here's what I bought this year:
Michael Kors Hamilton Zip Around Wallet
I needed a wallet since a few months ago but haven't found that I really like from the mall. Then I thought instead of getting the high street ones which only lasted 1-2 years why not invest in one wallet that would last longer than that? So that's how I got this MK Hamilton wallet. It's big and roomy and has lots of pockets inside. And it's made of saffiano leather which is very durable and would last you a long time especially if you take good care of it.

Now my bag has a baby twin, lol (^_^)

Family Gifts :
Coach Scarf (raw silk)
This year I received some money from older family members as gifts. I collected them all and with additional money from my own pocket I went and get this really nice Coach scarf. I've been wanting a nice thin scarf lately and I wanted to have a really good one that will last forever if possible, lol. I had a Coach key pouch that I used for my apartment keys, and I had that pouch for more than 5 years now and it's still looks good (!), So that's why I chose this scarf from that same brand (and because this is actually one of the cheapest / I could afford, lol) ;p

I also received a Starbucks card from my family and I decided to spend the value on the card to buy my first ever Starbucks tumbler (^__^). I always wanted a Starbucks tumbler for a long time but I didn't want to spend much money for just a tumbler (lol), luckily this year I finally got my tumbler for free (hiphip).
Starbucks Card / Starbucks Tumbler
Actually I wanted another design (the white hot tumbler with black cap) but it was from many seasons ago and I've been to 2 different Starbucks counters and they didn't have any of that design left anymore. So I finally gave-in and decided to get the newer model. Nevertheless I like this tumbler with it's classic green S'bucks logo, especially when I can get discounts with this tumbler every time I go to Starbucks - which is quite often (;p)

PS : I also received a "Captain America" t-shirt from my brother which is still in the laundry at the time I posted this. Yes I am a nerd inside and I love my comic super heroes (^o^).

PPS : Please be aware that I created this post just for fun and for my own personal list. I love making lists of everything including my hauls. I know this post might come as a brag but it truly is not. Anyone who love shopping might understand why I love making haul lists like this, but for those of you who might think negative please put aside those thoughts because this post is just for fun and let's not be too serious about it :)

Lastly, I am so grateful for all these gifts and hauls, and I'm also grateful for what this year has bring to me and my husband. May we always be grateful and always remember that all things comes from God Almighty. So keep on counting your blessings and do your prayers diligently. Also, don't forget to put aside some of your money for charity and share what you have with those who are unfortunate. Big kisses for you!
