My First Beauty Post

10:46:00 AM

Did you know that TwoThousandThings is originally a blog about Beauty too? At first I created T.T.T to be about mostly Fashion and then also about Beauty and all those cute things that women like, such as cute decorative items or beautiful / unique household goodies. But in the process I got carried away too much with the Fashion things because well, that's my main passion is :p
So now I'm gonna go back to where it all started. From now on I'm gonna write about Beauty stuffs too in T.T.T.
^__^

Okay, now for the first Beauty post, I thought I'd post a beauty-product review. Everybody needs to read some reviews before they buy stuffs, right? So here it is..
First, I'm thinking of what to review? In my mind, it should be a NEW product, not the ones I've used before because New products are perfect to be reviewed since it would be my first experience on the product too so the review would be fair and square.
And I have got just the right product to do that. What I'm about to review is a Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation from Thevi. This is the right product for my first beauty post because it just came in the mail last Tuesday and I just started using it since Wednesday.

Here's the story..
I have always find a trouble when searching for the perfect foundation for my face. I've tried many different brands and products before and nothing really satisfy me. I have oily skin and seasonal breakouts here and there. And I want Light Foundation that blends smoothly and cover my imperfections.
I always wanted to try the mineral based make-up too so I'm glad when I found out about Thevi, a Make-Up Company who emphasizes on ethnic cultures of Asian, South Asian, Hispanic, African, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean which happen to have mineral infused face powder and foundations among their products.

Having a darker shade of Asian skin myself, I must say that what Thevaki (the President of Thevi Cosmetics) did is brilliant! She understands the common problem of darker skin tone . She then fill the gap and creates this make-up line that specializes in colors that match the darker skin tone.

As I received the package and put the foundation on, first thing that struck me was how fast it sinks in my skin! That's wonderful, of all the brands I've tried there's no foundation that sinks in my skin as fast as this Thevi's Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation. This will save my time a lot! The liquid powder foundation is creamy but doesn't feel sticky and it blends smoothly in my face. The color is great too! It doesn't smudge, it provides coverage and I like the fact that the formula is light so I can wear it everyday without feeling "heavy" or "thick" in the face. I'm also surprised that it survived "mid-day sweltering sunshine". My hubby even noticed that my face is not oily in the afternoon as it usually is. That proves the foundation (unlike my other foundation) is "still there" after many hours ^__^

I'm quite amazed at how different it is from other foundations I've tried. Maybe it's because of the mineral-complex formula in it ^__^
The formula also enriched with vitamins E and C for anti-oxidant protection, and Vitamin A for skin conditioner. Not to mention that it's SPF 15 too ! That is everything you wanted in one package!
You should try it. Visit Thevi Cosmetics if you have darker skin. They also have lipstick, eyeshadows, etc that will surely match your skin tone. And they have Special Discount Offer going on at their website now, go check it out.
