Hey guys... I will be off from blogging for a while due to the celebration of Eid Mubarak!!
We have a long holiday here so i will spend the time to meet my families and relatives, eating good food and just having a great time with the big family!! So excited!
Meanwhile, why don't you go to my other blog to join the two giveaways there while I'm off celebrating Eid Mubarak.

Okay so anyway, I started a new blog post series a while back, it's called "New Things in my Wardrobe". It's about sharing and documenting new items that I got on my wardrobe, it could be stuffs that were given to me, complimentary stuff that worth to mention or just simply new things that I bought. And it could be a clothing item, accessories such as bags, shoes, jewelries, or makeup, etc.. you get the idea..

And so here's what I accumulate from this past several weeks:

Did you remember I once posted about two giveaways that I won. One of them is this gorgeous earrings from katrinshine.etsy.com that I won via Heavenly Saying blog. This earring was shipped all the way from Italy!
The earrings are more gorgeous in real life than in the photos. I love dangling earrings and it seems like a perfect earring to wear to every occasion. Hubby also commented how nice it is on me :D And it's been a long time since I won anything so I'm quite happy! I'm still awaiting for my giveaway prize from the other blog Burning Moon's Inside Advice, it was a mini butter from Hello Mellow.

Next...
I did a little bit shopping a while ago and bought these cute two colorful socks! I love wearing socks when sleeping and lately I found out that my socks were terribly worn due to the excessive wear, I slept in it almost everyday so no wonder they gave up on me. But that means it's time for socks shopping ;P
I bought these socks at one of those stalls where you could get 3 socks for IDR 12000. They always got the cutest patterns. I got 2 socks and hubby get 1. I love the pink rose one, really romantic. And I have always wanted to have a stripy colorful socks so I bought that other one.

I also bought this peach floral blouse, maxi dress and brown tanktop at the same time i bought the socks:

I bought them all at Poins Square and they all are not really expensive. I love to hunt for treasures such as these pretty clothes among the cheap mass-produced clothes on the little lots and stalls in places like ITC or Poins. You'll never know what you will find there. I got the peach floral blouse for IDR 70.000, the maxi dress for IDR 100.000 and the brown tanktop for only IDR 20.000. (for comparison: 1 USD = around IDR 10.000).

I have been using Gisella pressed powder which I got for review a couple of months back. I did get great result with it but I needed a powder-y mineral foundation to perfect my look. Anyway, I bought this L'oreal Bare Naturale Flawless Starter Kit in Soft Ivory. The kit comes with mineral powder, mineral blush and mineral finish. I got a 42% discount on it and for that price comes 3 bottle of makeup -> who can resist that? I clicked "order" right away! :P

If you're my loyal reader then you must have read here that sometimes I always got something new out of my mother in law's house. She is a true shopaholic like Becky Bloomwood from the Shopaholics series. She buy things but then she sometimes forget about it and she would buy it all over again, only to discover later on that she already has it. But that means it's my victory :) As luck would have it, she will find random things at her house that she no longer needs, or left-out items that she don't wanna wear anymore, or things that she already has too many in similar color or types or patterns. And then she would offer me those things, whether i wanna keep it or not. And most of the time, I said "yes, of course!" :D
I did got a couple of bags from her and some accessories too, and now she found an un-used little box of BCBGirls perfumes sample that (yes, you guessed it) now it's mine :) The little box came with 4 vials of Nature, Star, Metro and Sexy. And it comes in the most cutest little box with handle that I can just slip on my bag :)

Speaking of my birthday, my Sister in law gave me this pink asymmetrical jersey blouse as a birthday gift! As I mentioned before, both me and my hubby were sick in bed during my Bday so we didn't get a chance to celebrate it or let alone shop for my gifts (lol). But this surprise gift from my SIL really made my day :D
I just realized that I don't own a pink top in my wardrobe, how can that be?? Pink is one of my favorite color but how come I didn't even own a pink blouse? I only own several pink tees but tshirts doesnt count since I mostly only wear them in the house. So anyway, thank you Mirna for this lovely pink blouse!

It's been a very moody weather here in Jakarta but I know most of my readers will be having their Fall season soon :) so are you ready for fall wardrobe? Although we don't have Fall here in Indonesia but I do love the colors of the fall wardrobe, such as plum, maroon, browns, grey... and I also love the look of tights and high boots. Oh and I love scarfs too! :D

Okay, so anyway Polyvore has made a great proposition. This fall they launch a new virtual styling tool called a Mini Editor which I have installed here on this blog post for you. If you're not familiar with polyvore it's where you could create your own fashion collage, just like those in magazines spread. You can create outfits, mix and match items and add backgrounds or text to it. I know this is kinda late, but everyone seems to be doing their Best & Worst Dress of the Emmy's so although the Emmy Awards was like several weeks ago but here I just wanna share you about my version of the Best & the Beast (insert evil laugh) Dress of the Emmy 2010 red carpet. So without further ado...here they are..

Before I begin with my Best Dress list, I noticed that Lea Michelle & Claire Danes's dress are considered Best Dress by most of the fashion blogs and website but I have my own opinion on that. In my humble opinion their dresses are gorgeous, sure..but it lacks something..there's something that seems to be a little bit off..but I couldn't quite figure it out..
Claire Danes full sequin long dress is great but the way she wears it is not as sparkly as Heather Morris's for instance.. And Lea Michelle's dress is absolutely stunning but I don't know...maybe if she played with her hair a little bit, it would look overall gorgeous. And maybe if she gained a little weight too.. ;)

Do you have any inspiration boards on your work desk? Or do you always make mood boards to help with inspirations? I love seeing mood boards, although I don't have one and am not sure if i could make one because i'm too lazy to cut any prints or papers or fabrics to have them punched on the boards ;p Well I did have mood boards or some sort of inspiration board in my dorm room when I was in college, when I still have the time to browse magazines and old bulletins to cut any inspirational pictures and then have them hanged and punched on to the board, it looks cute on my wall and friends always give nice comments on it. And I changed the board every several months to refresh the inspirations. I guess I just didn't have the energy to do it again now, especially when my daily routine includes 14 hours a day in front of the computer, no extra time left to do anything.

But I still love to look at mood boards, it's one of the most inspirational feeling when you look at one. You can feel the whole mood of the boards and can almost imagine what the mood boards will look like in real life.

Mood boards are usually used by designers, whether it's fashion designer, accessories designer or interior designer. Party planners sometimes used mood boards too, it helps them to know what their clients interests are and it helps the clients to have a vision of what the final look will be.
