The Best & Not-So-Best Dressed : Emmy 2010 Red Carpet

12:50:00 AM

I know this is kinda late, but everyone seems to be doing their Best & Worst Dress of the Emmy's so although the Emmy Awards was like several weeks ago but here I just wanna share you about my version of the Best & the Beast (insert evil laugh) Dress of the Emmy 2010 red carpet. So without further they are..

Before I begin with my Best Dress list, I noticed that Lea Michelle & Claire Danes's dress are considered Best Dress by most of the fashion blogs and website but I have my own opinion on that. In my humble opinion their dresses are gorgeous, sure..but it lacks something..there's something that seems to be a little bit off..but I couldn't quite figure it out..
Claire Danes full sequin long dress is great but the way she wears it is not as sparkly as Heather Morris's for instance.. And Lea Michelle's dress is absolutely stunning but I don't know...maybe if she played with her hair a little bit, it would look overall gorgeous. And maybe if she gained a little weight too.. ;)

What do you think of Lea Michelle's overall look?

Anyway, here are my choices of the Red Carpet BEST DRESS:

Dianna Agron from Glee is looking very gorgeously princess-ey in this cinderella frock. I am so loving this dress, I love the color, I love the pattern, I love the overall shape, the tiered look with a bustier and long sash seems like a perfect celebration dress.
Love this look!

Black can never go wrong, especially if the black dress is as enchantingly beautiful as this stunning black strapless dress that Eva Longoria wore. The fabric is rich and beautiful and the simple shape with a train behind it is a perfect combination.
This is my favorite black dress of the event!

Look at Heather Morris in this stunning gold number from Ina Soltani. I am so loving the gold in this dress. And Heather is right, she didn't accessorize much with this dress because the dress itself is a fabulous glimmering beauty that deserves the attention of it's own ;)
Love this gold glitterati attention-stealer!

Jewel is also looking stunning in the red carpet. She wore a pretty romantic lace dress from Zuhair Murad. I always love a pretty lace dress like this, it's so romantic and pretty and princess-ey. Look at all that details in the dress. I also love the satin bow detail at the empire line and the way Jewel dress it up with that pretty little clutch with the same color, and the make-up, the hair-do, and the earrings! Just WOW!

Oh how I love Maria Menunos's dress. This Ralph & Russo glittering dress is just fabulous! I love everything about it. It glimmers in all the right places. The hair-do and make-up also compliments the dress so yeah this one is absolutely made it in my Best Dress list.
My favorite dress of the event!

Jayma Mays from Glee also looking stunningly perfect in this deep blue Burberry frock. I love how different she is from the character she plays on the Glee show. She looks absolutely gorgeous here. Love the hair, the make-up, and the dress suits her body type perfectly.
Great choice Jayma!

Usually ends up in the Worst dress list, this time Paula Abdul made it to shine on the red carpet. The dress is shining beautifully on her and i love this shape on her body, she should wear this type of dress more frequently. She also minimizes the accessories here which is great because the dress is a show-stealer itself. Go Paula!

And this last one is a different kind of dress that stood among the other typical dresses at the event. This very pretty blue dress that Padma Lakshmi wore to the red carpet is like a fresh of breath air among all the glitters and princess-like dresses that were scattered all over the red carpet. I love the simple yet stunning shape of this dress, I love the color, the sheer fabric at the slit, and the ethnic-inspired glittery glamorama at the chest area is just awesome! The way Padma wore it with that hair is perfect. She oozes sophisticated and sexy at the same time.
Bravo for Padma!

Hmm...a lot of the Glee members make it to my Best Dress list above, now let's see if the Worst Dress or the Not-So-Best Dressed list are as "stunning" as the Best Dress list ;p

Tck...tck.. Anna Paquin, what did you wear too the red carpet? This one is on the Worst Dress list of almost all of the blogs and fashion website's list and I just couldn't agree no more. Sorry Anna, better luck next year ;)

And what are you thinking Rita Wilson? This dress and those shoes! haven't you heard?sometimes being too matchy-matchy is no good Rita..

And this dress on Lauren Graham only brings out her figure's flaws instead of her best assets.
Poor choice on the dress here Lauren..

And I'm not a fan of Kathy Griffin's dress is either. It's kinda an odd shape dress. And the fabric is bleh, and the weird embellishment down below?what is that anyway?

Well, I hope I'm not too mean on the Worst Dress list, if I sounded mean I swear I didn't intend to do it. Anyway, I hope you like my choices. What about you? Do you have your own best and worst dress too? share us a link..
