What's Inside My Toiletries Travel Bag - Eid Al Fitr edition

4:08:00 AM

Okay, so I went to Bandung for a "2 days 1 night" stay during Eid Al Fitr celebration several days ago. Bandung is my hubby's family hometown. As usual, we have lots of family gatherings on different houses, and of course I wore makeup because there are lots of photo shoots moments ;p But I only wear nude colors though, because it was sweating hot and light makeup is the best way to avoid ugly makeup meltdowns (yikes!).

So anyway, this is a post about what's inside my skincare travel bag that I bring along to Bandung. I originally brought three different travel cosmetic bags like this one below. One is for my skincare & toiletries, one is for my eye makeup tools (mascara, eyeliners, eyelash curler, etc) and long stuffs like pencils and brushes as well as for extra cotton pads. And the other one is my daily cosmetic bag which I always bring with me in my bag, it's where I store my daily makeup / touch-up needs such as face powder, lipstick, blush, etc.

And here is what's inside my skincare & toiletries travel bag....
The bag I used is the largest cosmetic bag I had which is the hot pink / fuchsia Victoria's Secret one (which I got from here).
This bag is wide and long so it can hold up a lot of products. It also has a cute bow details to it's sides. Cute! And it is my most favorite cosmetic bag for now, and I always use it for traveling or stay-over because of it's ability to hold many stuffs inside ;)

And here's what's inside the bag:
Yes, surprisingly the bag can hold all of these stuffs! ;p
If you don't see a toothbrush and toothpaste, that's because they got their own little containers and I put it in hubby's bag along with towels and such.

What I bring:
In no particular order:
Etude House Dress Room Sweet Look Body Wash & Body Lotion travel set
Purederm Make-Up Remover Cleansing Tissues
The Body Shop Neroli Jasmine travel set: Body Mist, Body Lotion, Eau De Toilette
L'occitane Angelica Cleansing Gel (reviewed here)
L'occitane Angelica Hydration Cream (reviewed here)
Laneige Water Sleeping Pack
Make Up Forever Sens'Eyes Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser
Mini drawstring container for cotton pads and cotton buds

The Details:
Make up cleanser is a must for me because if I don't clean up my makeup properly I would get breakouts immediately, but my cleansing milk is in a big tube form, and my current toner is a big glass bottle which both are not suitable for traveling. So I bring the most practical form of make up remover which is the make up remover towelettes!
This cleansing tissues have been a very practical must-have item for me, because sometimes I'm too lazy to wipe off my make up if I got home really late and this cleansing tissues/towelettes saves me a lot. On lazy days I usually would use an eye makeup remover first to clean my eye makeup, and then followed by this towelettes to remove makeup from my face. And then followed by a toner.
If my makeup is quite heavy then the formula would be like this: eye makeup remover, cleansing towelettes, go to bathroom to wash my face using cleansing gel, and then followed by toner. I actually have two different brands of cleansing towelettes at home, and so far I prefer this Purederm Makeup Remover Cleansing Tissues. I plan to make a post about this one versus the other cleansing towelettes, so stay tune and please pray that I'm not lazy to make the post in the future ;p

As for the eye makeup remover I brought this mini size waterproof eye make up remover from Make Up Forever.
I love using this Make Up Forever Sens'Eyes Eye Makeup Remover because of it's cleansing power. It can remove any waterproof eye makeup such as eyeliner and mascara in a jiffy. It also feels soft on my eyelids and I don't have to rub my eyelids so much because the makeup would melt off almost instantly.

And as for the face wash I brought this travel size L'Occitane Angelica Cleansing Gel. I use this after removing the makeup to make sure that my face is really clean. I also use it in the morning while showering.
This cleansing gel is also one of my favorites as it really cleanses your face thoroughly, and it gives you a fresh feeling afterward without making your skin feels dry. The tiny hole on the mouth of the bottle also makes it very convenient for traveling because you don't have to worry that it would spill. I also bring along the Hydration Cream from the same Angelica line and used it as moisturizer. Moisturizer is important especially when you're traveling because you wouldn't know if your skin would act up and got dry because of the long flight or weather changing situation.

I also bring along this water sleeping pack from Laneige because I knew that there would be many occasions that I have to attend so I needed a quick fresh-me-up for the face so that my face don't look saggy or dull in the morning. That's why I brought this sleeping pack along.
The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is kinda like a face mask that you can use before you go to bed and during your sleep. So you actually put this on after you do all your night cleansing ritual, you spread it on your face evenly without rubbing it too much, and then you just go to sleep with it. You'll wash it off in the morning, and then you'll supposedly have a fresher and more plumped face instantly. This is a practical treatment product to bring along in your traveling nights so you can still have your skin treatment without any hassle. Compared to bringing your face masks or mask sheets, I say this sleeping pack is way more easier ;)

Now for the toiletries part;
This Etude House Dress Room travel set includes a Sweet Look Body Wash and Body Lotion. I have a plan to make a full review of this products so for now all I can say is the scent is a right-on dupe for Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction series ;p
Look how cute and lovely the packagings are, right? It's pink and it's cute and girly, I just love looking at it ;) - I didn't bring a shampoo because I thought I won't need to shampoo as it is only a one night stay and I already wash my hair that morning. I usually wash my hair every two days so I thought I won't be washing my hair during my stay in Bandung. And if incase I needed to wash my hair I can always borrow my mother in law's shampoo ;)

This Neroli Jasmin travel set from The Body Shop is really old and I still haven't finished them yet ;p - Well actually this set also came with a Body Wash but I already finished that up, and these three bottles actually only have a little amount left in them so I need to use them up before I can start using my other travel set ;p
This set originally includes: Neroli Jasmin Body Wash, Body Lotion, Body Mist, and Eau De Toilette. I always need to use a body spray / body mist after I shower so to have a small bottle like this is perfect for traveling. A body lotion and perfume with the same scent as the body mist would make the scent lasts longer too. If you're wondering about the scent it is more like a sweet jasmine scent. As you can see on the above photo the Eau De Toilette doesn't have it's cap anymore because I accidentally left it in Plaza Senayan's bathroom stall a long time ago -__- (doh)..

By the way, I just noticed that I actually brought two body lotions: the Etude House one and The Body Shop one ;p - I didn't noticed this before, I ended up using the Etude House though.

So, do you travel to your hometown during Eid Al Fitr? If yes, what did you bring in your travel case?
