Petite Fashion Challenge: Dress Up Your Basics

7:29:00 PM

I've been enjoying reading this styling challenge on several blogs since I found the petite fashion bloggers community, but I just had the opportunity to participate in it now. This monthly challenge is specially reserved for the petite girls (hello, me?) and I always love a challenge, so here's this month "Petite Fashion Challenge".

This month's challenge is hosted by Jess of Stylepint.

The Challenge: Dress Up Your Basics

petitefashionchallenge Petite Fashion Challenge #6: Dress Up Your Basics

Jeans and a tee is a classic outfit starter. Depending on what you layer over this basic pairing, you can change style and feel of the entire look. This is your chance to show your personality and your creativity.

For this challenge, start off with a jeans and tee basic look (it can be any style or color) and dress it up to show off your personal style with accessories, jewelry, and whatever you’d like to add.

-----------------------------------------

The way to dress up your basic "jeans and tee" outfit is to add layers or add some accessories. You can wear the most basic tee and jeans but if you add bold jewelries or some cool layers then you can have a not-so-basic outfit, you'll have great style instead.

I chose to layer my white basic tee and black jeans with a black cropped vest. And then I added a silvery necklace. And then I thought I'd add some more silvers in different depth so I wore my two new bracelets that I just posted in my previous post. I decided to wear them on both of my wrists.

And then I put on my ankle boots because I thought it's the most flattering pair, and lastly I threw on my little skinny bag. and then I look into the mirror and say "why do i look like a rockstar wannabe?"  -- But never mind, i kinda like it ;) Plus my legs look super long in this outfit, ha!

I'm wearing an old basic white tee, Zara jeans, Guess vest with lace detail at the back, booties from The Little Things She Needs, and the bag is vintage Etienne Aigner.

The necklace is "The Fairest Of Them All necklace", courtesy of Ampersand Design. And the bracelets are my newest accessory, it's basically the same model but with different shades of color (one is light, the other one is darker). I got it for free (read about it on my "New Items In My Wardrobe" post).
