isABelt Review & Giveaway - CLOSED -

As you know, I love finding new fashion thingie that would help us big time in special areas of problems that we might have in our every day wardrobe challenge. For instance: the back gap. You know what that is, when you wear your favorite hipster style pipe jeans or low waist pants and you look and feel fabulous all day and then you sit down in a low chair and then there it is: the back gap, the gap at your back between your top and your low rider pants where everyone could see right down the back of your pants. Yeah, SUPER UN-COOL.

Or when you want to wear your new skinny pants (which sits too low so you need to wear a belt) with your ultra-sexy fitted tee only to find that there's an ugly bulk on your waist area where you put your belt. Ugh.

Believe it or not, those happens to me too. I have several low-rider pants and jeans which I only wear to events where I don't have to sit for a long time or to the cinema where I do get to sit in a long time but with the lights turn off ;p That is just to avoid the humiliating back gap which I hate so much. So when I learned about isABelt and have the opportunity to try it myself I was very ecstatic.
isABelt was founded in 2007 and was the brainchild of partner and inventor Leslie Wilkins-Gaudio. According to the website isABelt is the Original invisible belt, the MUST HAVE Fashion “fix-it” accessory. A thin, strong and flexible clear plastic belt, that virtually disappears when worn, providing you with the assurance that all is secure without even knowing it's there.

isABelt sent me these to try:

2 boxes of isABelt - Regular in Clear & Black (Sizes Small & Medium)
1 box of isAStrips

I've tried both of the isABelts and being a "virtually invisible" belt it really does it's job. The clear one is "almost invisible" on my jeans but my favorite is to pair the black one with my favorite black skinny jeans, feels like it's part of the jeans and it's still attached on my jeans's belt loop as we speak, waiting for me to wear it.
The worst back gap I had was with this low-rise skinny jeans from LOGO. It sits so low even if I wear a longer top it would still show a bit gap so I must wear a long top or a tunic every time I don the Logo jeans. Even my hubby disagree with this jeans because he of course hated to see the back gap on me and how other people could see down the gap too.
But back-gap no more.
When we were getting ready to go to the grocery and he saw me wearing this jeans he immediately rolled his eyes stating his disagreement. But I told him about this isABelt that I was planning to wear with the jeans. And turns out, it DOES it's job perfectly! Every time I sat there's no humongous gap on my back and it make my jeans stay in place all the time. Hubby even praise the isABelt and wondering how could a small clear belt like that could make a big change. Now I get my license back (to wear my Logo jeans).

Can you spot the clear isABelt?
Hubby took these photos with Iphone so no, I don't take my pictures inside a crowded grocery store with a camera, I'm not that confident ;p

And here's the black isABelt on my black skinny jeans, it's almost invisible, right?
And look, there's no back-gap when I sit down. Brilliant.

Compare it to this (see the second/lower jeans pic in the photo below):

Thanks to isABelt now I don't have to experience that horrible back gap no more :D

Overall, isABelt is really a saver. isABelt prevents back gap, slippage and of course, belt bulk and belt bulge. The isABelt solves all of these fashion issues and many more. it's made to fit women of all ages, shapes and sizes. This ultra thin and lightweight belt has a unique and full adjustability, designed to keep pants from slipping.

One more item I got to try is the isAStrips.
isAStrips is a versatile, multi-use body & apparel tape. isAStrips can be used with isABelt with pants that don't have belt loops. Simply place an isAStrips over the isABelt logo on inside of the isABelt and press to waistband to secure. isAStrips can also be used for many fashion quick-fixes such as to secure necklines, bra straps, clothing, pant hems, shoe straps, accessories, scarves, jewelry and much more.

I've used the double stick fashion tape / strips to secure my belt, secure the strap and sides of my loose tank dress so it won't fall out when i wear it and I even fix my handbag with it, it's such a versatile little thing I recommend that you should own one in your wardrobe especially for "emergency" use.

I love love love isABelt and isAStrips, they both are really useful despite their size and it does make a big change so if you're having some fashion problems like me then these are the products that you wanna have on stand-by in your closet. And it's SO EASY TO USE & ADJUST!
How To Use isABelt:
There are instructions inside and on the back of the box and also on the website. Remember, it DOES NOT adjust like a bra strap. And it's not supposed to be too tight on you. Elise from isABelt said that it should be a subtle "nip and tuck" for your bottoms. All I did just followed the easy direction provided and then I bring the isABelt to the base of my waistband all the way around and notch it under the front button. Then I'm done. Easy peasy.

And now to the GIVEAWAY!
Elise from isABelt has kindly offer a Free isABelt in color and size of your choice to one winner! Trust me gals, you'll need it! ^o^

  10. What a great, yet simple solution! I am really interested in the regular isABelt for both myself and my daughter. I think my daughter struggles more with this delimma because she wears more tiny tank tops and tight t's. But still, us, "older" women have this problem too.
    Thanks for finding this!

  14. What a cool product! It is definitely the one I'd most want to try. Incidentally, I'm wearing a belt right now on jeans that give me the dreaded back gap :S I follow you on Bloglovin and Twitter I believe (mizzjblog).

  20. After looking at the selections, I'd have to come back to the genius of the IsaBelt. For women of "a certain age" who can still wear low rise pants, the security the IsABelt provides is priceless.
