1 ITEM 4 WAYS

3:18:00 PM

So, I'm gonna give this blog a new theme. Every week or so I will put this kind of post called: " 1 ITEM 4 WAYS ".
It will feature one clothing item that can be worn in 4 different ways or styles. The hope is that you might find some inspirations or ideas on how to mix and match your outfit, and that you can maximize what you already had in your wardrobe, getting people to think that you own lots of clothes while in actual you're just mix n match 'em. ^^
I hope this will be a regular post because I had fun making it ^__^ I stylize all the outfits in the pictures myself using looklet. And I hope you like this post as much as I do ^^

Ok so let's roll...

1 ITEM 4 WAYS

The item is a BLACK TUBE DRESS.
This one featured in the photos is from D&G.
The looks are: Rock Chic, laid-Back Casual, Professional and Artsy.

ROCK CHIC
It's amazing how a simple black tube dress can be altered to 4 different ways. One of it is ROCK CHIC style. Just add dark stocking with motifs, a tall boots and a studded belt then you're good to go to a concert or to a club party. The silver long necklace and the TopShop embellished clutch are a final touch to this ROCK CHIC style.

LAID-BACK CASUAL
This look can be achieved by almost anybody. If worn alone, the black tube dress is a chic party attire but you can also dress it down by pairing it with a t-shirt, a casual belt and wedge shoes. I added some color to avoid being too matchy-matchy ^o^

PROFESSIONAL
The dress can also be worn to the office, especially if you're starting to ran out of idea on what to wear to work and start wearing the same skirt 3 times in less than 2 weeks ^o^
With the right ensemble this dress can go formal too. Instead of a tee this time wear it with a long sleeve shirt. Add a blazer and a high heel. Don't forget the right jewelry.

ARTSY
If you're working in a creative industry or you're just that one of a kind person who dressed edgily then this dress can also do it for you.
Just mix n match it anyway possible. I layered an additional skirt on the dress to make it different, then added a denim jacket from Lee Jeans to neutralize the quirkiness. Add a final touch of a big bold necklace and statement shoes then go hit the street !

There you go, my first edition of " 1 ITEM 4 WAYS". I hope you like it. Critics and suggestions are welcome ^o^ And I hope you had fun reading it.

  2. Great series! I'm looking forward to seeing more. I think it's a great idea, considering how people should be spending more money on versatile pieces they can wear several times a month (or even week) instead of buying a million different items. My favorites are the rock look and the artsy one :)
